Hello everybody , in this time the interview is for a very good player on Steemit Poker League, he is @tadas the number #5 in the global ranking on spl. He begin to start playing poker this YEAR!, Let´s go and check it out what he is going to tell us...
What is your name and when did you start to play poker?
My name is Tadas Katauskas.
My first tournament in SPL was in 2018-01-31,so this is the day when I really started playing poker :) before that I have played with my friends maybe 10 times in my life and a few weeks online. That’s it.
To be honest, for the first few weeks when I played on lucksacks.com I didn’t even know which hand was beter most of the time (flush vs full house was the hardest for me to remember). So I had a pdf file with Poker hands from highest to lowest open when I played :)
Why did you star to play poker?
In winter I had a lot of free time. I am a small farmer and there is not much to do, when we have a few inches of snow outside. Also, we have long nights in winter time, so I had a lot of free time to do my research on topics that interest me.I was reading about the recent bubble in cryptos, doing that I found Steemit. In Steemit I was looking for chess and RISK (these 2 were my favorite games) communities, but I didn’t find them. Then somehow stumbled upon SPL, joined and liked it very much and I am still playing there to this day.
Do you like poker online or casinos?
I never played poker in casino.
What are your favorite cards to play?
Honestly, I like playing everything. Recently I started avoiding hands like 2+8, or 9+3, etc., but if I’m in a big blind and you ‘ll raise me 3-5 BB and If I’m in a right mood, I might even play those too :) there is no better feeling than to win with 56 off suit against pocket kings or aces :D
Tell us an anecdote in you poker history?
Well my poker history is quite short, so probably the most memorable thing that happened to me during my “career “ is when I won Mikey’s (aka Hodish) HORSE tournament 3 weeks in a row :) and the best part is that after the 2nd victory in that tournament I talked quite substantial amount of trash to players who I defeated, so celsius100 put a few bounties on my head for the 3rd tournament.
And that encouraged me to talk even more trash :) so I did. And I kept on going during tournament. And guess what? I won :) I gloated for at least a few days after that :) here’s my post on steemit about that :D
Why do you play on Spl (steemit poker league)?
Because SPL is full of cool, interesting, honest and smart people. It is the best online community I have ever encountered.
Do you think that the cryptos will help to the poker community?
Yes, I think they will. I would not play poker with cash money daily. Maybe once or twice a year in a tournament.
With cryptos, especialy those, which I can earn (steem, SCR), I don’t feel like I might gamble away my children ‘s future. I think there is a bunch of people like me and cryptos expand the circle of players that way.
What would you like to see of the new SPL (scorum poker league)?
I already saw the biggest improvement, that I wished for.
Scorumpoker.com has much better mobile version than lucksacks.com! And I am very happy about that!
What would you tell to the players that wants to kick you out on the poker tables?
