hey! hello another day, first of all I want to remind you that my 50 scorums contest is open to all and you should only write about basketball! Yes, anything you want will be enough to have the opportunity to receive a prize and join the hall of fame of scorum haha!

Well today I wanted to continue with the thread of posts about poker, I think I already found something about what I really enjoy writing and words flow more.

I will give you my opinion and knowledge about how to choose the initial hands, and that as newbies we all have that thought of "The more hands I play, the more opportunities I will have to win," no! nothing further from reality, so here are a couple of tips!

The types of hands that we can find for myself can only be 2 types, strong hands and weak hands (very simple)

Weak hands should not be played in any case, the worst of all is the combination of 7 and 2 of different colors (you will be very far from making a straight, and the pairs are quite easy to beat)

The highest cards are obviously A, K, Q, J ..

The middle cards are 7,8,9,10

The low cards are 2,3,4,5,6.

I only play hands formed with medium and low value cards when:

a) when the 2 cards are followed, such as one (5,6); (7,8); (2,3). There is a fact in poker, the less empty spaces there are between 2 cards, the more possibilities you will have to build a ladder, this can be exemplified by making a small comparison (4,5) it is much more feasible to complete a ladder than a (3,6 ) or one (8.2).

something like this

B) A hand with 2 cards of the same color, this is the only case in which I could play a hand like (7.2); the odds of getting a color game in a hand without cards of the same color is just 1.3%, but when you have 2 the percentage increases considerably to 6%. I am not afraid to bet when I have a hand like that, the probability that the other person has a higher color and has reached the last round after you played aggressive is very low.

example

C) Obviously when we have a pair of low or middle cards, entering the game is a fairly common option, but personally I would not risk losing chips by betting on a hand like (2.2); so my recommendation here is to pay the initial bet and wait for others to do the same without raising the bet.

On the other hand we have hands with high cards! Well the truth here the thing is much simpler because odds are playing to our advantage, although I must stress that it is a common mistake to play life for one hand only because it has a high card. You can see at present in poker tournament videos how players risk too many hands as a (J, 5); tremendous error because apart from that the J, can still be defeated by the Q, K, A; has 5 as a high card so you probably lose even against a sad 6, in the case of draw with the J.

Well here I almost always get to play and see the flop but I particularly like when:

a) When I have a high par hand, here basically you must always enter and play with this hand but in the initial round, you must be the player who reaps heads and the people with weak hands. The basic strategy in the tournaments I use is to triple the initial bet, so at least half of the table will go out of fear.

In poker there is no place for weak people, in fact if you are not sure to play a hand, just do not do it and retire to cool your head.

Remember that the pair (J, J); It is a double-edged sword because although it is a high pair, it is the lowest pair of the high pairs so try to liquidate your opponents before you even start the first round.

b) Cards followed and of the same color, here basically apply the same rule of the first case. You must triple the entry to get the most out of the game, in this type of hands you take advantage of the chances of victory that high cards give you, possibilities of forming a ladder or having a game of color. With enough luck of chance, you will take the victory.

..

Remember as are practical tips that you can apply them to your current strategy, I'm not telling you how to play, I'll explain how it is my way of watching poker, I hope you liked it and I hope to read your comments about when it's worth entering a poker hand ( i will upvote you :$)
