Did you know that there are a lot of poker names in the Guinness Book of Records? Some records set by the players, kept there for years.

Antonio Esfandiari

With Antonio Esfandiari, everything is very simple: in 2012, he won the most expensive tournament of the planet Big One for One Drop and became the record holder for the largest prize - $ 18,300. Many believed that the record would be broken when the organizers of the World Series announced the holding of a new Big One. But in 2014, it was decided to take part in five less. Therefore, Daniel Coleman failed to write his name in the Guinness Book of Records.

Bertrand Grospellier and Randy Lew

In 2009, PokerStars team member Bertrand Grospellier set a record for multi-tabling — an online multi-table game. French pro managed to play spin-and-go at 62 tables immediately for an hour. At the end of this session, Bertrand ended up with a profit of $ 23.67. Purely in material terms, it is difficult to look at as a great success. But in practice, it turned out that repeating something like this is not easy - Grospellier has held the record for six years.

Another record in multi-labeling belongs to Randy Lew - he played the most hands in eight hours and ended up with a positive result: 24,493 hands and $ 7.65. This means that Randy won back about 50 hands per minute. Interestingly, at some point he went to minus $ 1,200.

The hardiest

Phil Laak set his record in 2010, playing poker for 115 hours in a row - he allowed himself only five-minute breaks once an hour. During this time, he earned $ 6,766, which he later donated to charity.

Laak's record was broken in 2012 by former soldier Barry Denson. He sat at the poker table for 120 hours and 20 minutes. As a former military man, Barry knew how to last 5 days without sleep. But this record is from a different category, since Denson played just for plastic, and not for real money.

In 2013, the longest Iron Man Challenge tournament took place as part of the APT. The event lasted 48 hours, 55 minutes and 58.5 seconds. The winner of the tournament was Damon Schulenberger and received the main prize of $ 18,240. The name of this player is also in the Book of Records.
