I just won my 2nd ever CoinPoker PLO tournament. I was able to successfully navigate through 256 players to take home the top prize of 625 CHP. I registered for the tournament via the late entry feature after it had been running for close to 40 minutes. You only start with 5,000 chips which can be a problem when the blinds are already 1,000-2,000. I was able to pick up a few hands to avoid blinding out and used the add-on feature for 10 CHP to tack on an extra 30k to my stack during the break.
When play resumed I picked up a hand with KKXX that I raised with preflop and found 2 callers. The flop brought the third K with the Jc and 10c, first to act bet out half pot, next player folded and I called. Next card was the Kc giving me quads. Small blind led out for a min bet which I only called hoping he would improve his hand so I could make more money. He again led out for a min bet on the river which I raised to half pot only to have him ask if I had a boat or a flush. I didn't say anything as his clock was counting down until it became clear he likely wasn't going to call. I told him to "go all in" but he let the time run out auto-mucking his hand. Another player said "I folded the full house", and I chimed in that I had quads, to which the player who folded replied that he would "call me next time". There wouldn't be a next time as that player was moved shortly after and finished 13th.
I was able to continue hitting hands and building my stack all the way to the final table. Once there I tried to avoid big confrontations and let the smaller stacks blind out or push marginal. Once they fell and it was down to just 3 the other 2 remaining players had a big confrontation eliminating one of them. From there I was able to pick up a few winning hands to take the chip lead. The final hand I had QQXX and raised and found a call. The flop brought 662 and I thought to myself "I have this as long as he doesn't have a 6, pocket 2s, Aces, or Kings". I led out a pot sized bet, he then raised all in, I called and I don't remember what he had but the turn was a Q sealing the deal and my 2nd ever PLO tournament win on CoinPoker.
