WSOP 2019 Favorites
We all know what goes down in the summer. We’re heading further into the second quarter of the year, which means that the World Series of Poker is upon us. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the seven-week poker festival, which makes it more exciting to watch. And because it’s extra special this year, we can only expect the best of the best to come battle it out on the bracelet events. It’s not called the Olympics of poker for no reason! If you’re hooked on this crazy poker fest as much as I am, take a look at the WSOP 2019 Favorites and see if it matches your predictions. Shaun Deeb I think it’s given that the defending champion is always a major contender, especially in this year’s WSOP. All eyes are on Deeb after finishing last year’s festival as Player of the Year, and although it’s difficult to get a back-to-back as it never happened before, it’s highly expected that he’ll crush the games yet again. Daniel Negreanu DNegs has always been a force to be reckoned with, but this year his name drew more attention after news broke out that he got married and then separated from PokerStars. He also dabbled more into vlogging and engaged more on social media thus increasing his fanbase, so that should be enough reason for him to become one of the WSOP 2019 Favorites along with the fact that he’s the only two-time POY winner. Chris Ferguson There’s no doubt the Full Tilt Poker superstar makes the cut this year. Aside from winning Player of the Year in 2017, Ferguson rose to the occasion last year after he played a handful of events and cashed 23 times, setting a record. At least a top three finish is expected. Phil Hellmuth Also entering the list of WSOP 2019 Favorites is the leader in WSOP, having the most wins and earning his 15th gold bracelet last year. Even though his last main event victory was 30 years ago, which is a long time if you ask me, he is consistent and has kept his spot in the top over the years. Paul Volpe Volpe has established great success in the WSOP despite being one of the more underrated players. His consistency in high-stakes bracelet events and ability to pull quite a number of final tables ultimately makes him the player to beat in this year’s poker series. Every pro sports bettor out there started as a beginner. And every poker or casino expert started as a neophyte. I haven’t reached the pinnacle of the betting world yet, but everyday I try to move closer to it. I created this blog so we can learn together and eventually be better, responsible bettors. Follow me for more tips and strategies on betting, casino gaming, and poker. I usually base my content on my betting experience at Nitrogen Sports. Their blog is also extremely helpful for updates.
