Rugby is a game between two teams of 15 prayers using oval-shaped ball on a rectangular field with H-shaped goalposts on each try line. Rugby union is a popular sport around the world, played by both males and females of all ages. In 2014,there were than 6 million people playing Worldwide, of whom 2.36 million were registered players.would Rugby,previously called the International Rugby Football Board(IRFB) and the international Rugby Board(IRB),has been the governing body for fugby union since 1886,and currently has 104 countries as full members and 18 associate members.

The first football laws were written by Rugby school pupills, in 1845.in 1995 restrictions on payments to players were removed, making the game openly professional on the highest level for the first time. Rugby union spread from the Home Nations Of Great Britain and ireland and was absorbed by many of the countries associated with the British Empire. Early exponents of the sport included Australia, New Zealand, South America and France. Rugby League was formed as an administrative break from england Union before changing its laws, becomming a code in its own right. 

American football andCanadian football are derived from early forms of Rugby.Australian rules football was influenced by Ruby football and other games originating in English Public school. 

James Naismith took aspects to many sports including Rugby to invent basketball.Rugby lends its name to wheelchair Rugby,a full-contact sports which contains elements of Rugby such as crossing a try line with the ball of score.

The ist international Rugby League match tookplace in 1904 between England and an other nationalities team, mostly made up of welish players.

Initially the Northern Union continued to play under existing RFU laws.then other new laws were gradually introduced until, by the arrival of the all Gods in 1907. the major difference introduced were:
  • 13-players per team as opposed to 15 in union (the two "missing "are the flankers). 
  • The "play the ball"(healing the ball back after a trackle) rather than a runk. 
  • The elimination of the line out. 
  • A slightly different scoring structure with all goals being worth 2 points.
