The first weekend of the MLR 2020: Virtual season wrapped up by featuring Old Glory DC defeating Rugby ATL 22-12, followed by the Colorado Raptors taking down the Houston SaberCats 21-12.
Old Glory DC was represented by back Renata Roberts-Tenana, while back Duncan Van Schalkwyk took the controller for Rugby ATL. Both DC and Atlanta finished up the first half in a 12-12 tie, before DC took off in the second half on the way to a 22-12 victory.
The Raptors were represented by back Mika Kruse, while the SaberCats were represented by back Tiaan Loots. The Raptors ran away with it early, taking a 21-0 lead at halftime. However, the SaberCats began fighting back in the second half with a pair of tries and a successful conversion, but it wouldn't be enough as the Raptors claimed the 21-12 win.
