The first round of the playoffs for the overall championship for the MLR 2020: Virtual season saw the Colorado Raptors defeat Old Glory DC 21-7 to advance to the final round, while the Austin Gilgronis took down the New Orleans Gold 5-0.

The Raptors were represented by back Mika Kruse, while Old Glory DC was represented by back Renata Roberts-Tenana. Colorado had the lead at halftime, as they went up 7-0 early on. While DC kept it a close match throughout, the Raptors would eventually pull away late to win it 21-7.

The Gilgronis were represented by back Will Magie, while the Gold were represented by forward Malcolm May. The match was tied 0-0 in the first half, but not long into the second half Austin earned the lone try, which would be enough as the Gilgronis held onto the shutout for a 5-0 win.

Colorado and Austin will face each other for the championship game on Saturday.
