In this article, I decided to pay attention to interesting running movements, namely the British parkrun movement and the Ukrainian runday movement. And at the same time tell a little about them.

ParkRun

Parkrun is an international running movement that originated in Great Britain and is a 5-kilometer run every Saturday.

Currently, the parkrun running movement is represented in 23 countries and is held at 2,000 locations. The parkrun format is simple, register once on the site, print out your barcode, and then come and take part in one of the locations where the parkrun takes place.

RunDay

Runday is a 5-kilometer open race every Saturday for participants of all ages and levels.

The runday running movement is a Ukrainian project inspired by the British movement called parkrun. Since parkrun stopped attracting new countries, runners in Ukraine decided to establish their own analog, called runday. Running enthusiasts can join the runday running movement every Saturday at one of 9 locations in 8 cities of Ukraine (Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Ternopil, Mariupol, Kolomyia, Kramatorsk, and Severodonetsk). The runday format is quite simple, register once on the site, print out your barcode, and then come and take part in one of the locations where the rendezvous takes place.
