This is a 10 minutes free-writing contest by @mikey

It took me whole lot of energy to go in for this 10 minutes exercise because I'm not a good writer but Mikey's comment gave me the push when he said

“This piece are never going to (and never should) compete with long-form copy that someone has spent hours on.”

Many guys, apparently, grew up differently. They weren’t hooked on some sports as kids and never became fans or have an idea of so many sports.

I grew up in a home that value only football and boxing.

Therefore my list of sports that I don't understand is endless because I was not opportune to play them or watch them being played starting from the

-American football

-Squash

-Baseball

-Rugby

-Golf

-Cricket

-Netball and the list continues...

The Sport I Don't Understand...

Golf... yes golf.

Please don't ask me if I don't know Tiger Woods... I know him, yes, he is the most popular golfer in history, the comeback King BUT I don't understand what he is doing on the golf course, walking around, hitting and pushing the balls into holes.

How do they calculate which golfer is leading?

Is it the speed of the ball, all the distance covered, all the number of times they hit before they get it into the hole?

Why is that stick call a club yet they have a silent fans.

Why do they have so many clubs, why not one or two at most.

Why are they always dressed like they are going for a picnic?

Why are they treated like Kings and Queens?

The Caddies carry the golf club bags, go ahead of them direct them to the right holes while some of the golfers drive around with a cart yet they go away with millions of dollars every year.

Have you seen them sweat like sportmen?

Why are the fans silence?

How about penalties for breaking rules?

Who controls the game...

So many unanswered questions

Truly, I don't understand GOLF

Golf has been one sport that always got my attention anytime, anyday not because I am attracted to the game but because it's a game for the political class, rich and the old guys. So I get to see them around without bodyguards on the golf course.
