This post is based on the sporting activities of Ghana Security Services and my images will be on a volley ball game between Airforce ladies and Fire service ladies which tool place at the Airforce base Accra.
Most people think that, the Police, Army, Immigration, Prison and the other services dont enagage in sporting activities but rather only enforcing the law, combating crime and maintaining peace. But there are sports men and women in every service that enage in sports activities. Like the Division 1 basketball league, athletics, volley and others are all participated by some security personnels in Ghana. So to clear some thoughts, Ghana Security Personnels also do sports and are very good. This is mostly done to promote good working relation among service personnels.
Recruitment of players is done in two ways. Those who are good in sports and then applies to join the service as officers only to do a specific sport for the service though he or she is an officer. And the others that are scouted by the head of sports in every services. These people are given the opportunity to play for their services. An example is the Airforce Ladies which comprises of players who are in the service as officers and others as non officer( civilians).
Below is a volley ball match between Airforce ladies and Fire ladies. The away team Fire ladies were beaten by the Airforce ladies.This is the beauty of sports in the security services.
