I'm sure most of you saw, debated and decided. You did this to get what you want, You did this to improve, You were intrigued by what information was hidden in this pandora's box of a post and You came. Why?

To reach out and grab the stars.

My first point entails socialising...

For this part, it's convenient if you have nice social skills. If you don't, learn.

On the most basic term, it would suffice to just say hello in the comments once or twice, but if you want friends who will upvote your posts you have to resonate with them, this can only be done by spending time conversing for hours while building bonds. People are more inclined to give you an upvote if they know you or if you've been good to them(The standard equivalent exchange).

The steps to take when doing this are:

  • Start a friendly conversation by either "greeting them" or "asking a question"
  • Proceed to get to know the person by being genuine and showing that you have an interest in their work (giving them a follow is a good way to do this)
  • Add them to a chat group if you want to talk at length.

This might, in turn, give you some publicity if they tag you in a post

*Please be cautious when talking to strangers*

when to post...

This section will require you to consider two options, one where you prioritize the quality of the upvote you receive or you pick the quantity of the upvotes you receive.

  • 14.65% of users on Scorum come from Brazil we can utilize this information to post at peak times (probably in the afternoon since workers go on break) to gain the most out of the post

Or

  • Target Pros they have the most SP and give heavy upvotes, you can get all the information you need about the Pros by using the first point I made. Understand their preferences as well as the online time.

Choose which one is most suitable for your post. You came to Scorum to either make money or to advertise your product. Maybe you came to share, I don't know.

Thumbnail and title...

The average user visits and stays on Scorum for a total of 2 mins, what this data shows us is that you have 2 minutes, give or take a few seconds, to impress and persuade a stranger to upvote your post. So how do you stand out? What makes you unique?

You need to create a title that when someone's eyes skim over it instead of letting them pass by grab and don't let go

For the thumbnail make it relevant to the topic and visually attractive, I mean who doesn't appreciate nice images?

Look and Feel...

Make sure you fully use all the tools available to edit posts. For example, you could add bullet points by making a new line then adding a hyphen and after it a space, this should make your first bullet point If you haven't already.

You can add videos and images to decorate or simply take up space

Casually remind the reader about the upvote button...

People often dismiss the upvote button forgetting that it's the most important aspect of the site, want an example?

Ever watched a youtube video you really enjoyed, that made you laugh and cry? did you leave a like? subscribe? comment? If you answered "no" you get the idea.

You can indirectly reference the upvote button or directly address it by saying something like "Why not leave an upvote?"

Advertise outward of Scorum...

If your posts aren't getting much visibility why not try alternate ways of advertising. For example, many users on Scorum are now using discord to make a server in which they advertise not only their own content but also the content of others(if it is a quality post).    Recently discord has become the most directed site on Scorum, what this means is most links on Scorum send users to Discord

You won't get rich instantly, but with time you should see a gradual increase in your income

Note: This isn't some guide that has guaranteed rewards, there is no pot of gold a the end of the rainbow. This is simply a theory and appliance of the best strategy to use on Scorum. Why use "Strategy"? It's a gamble and, if questioned, anybody whose betted before will exclaim strategies like a madman.
