Today is Sunday. A Sunday unlike any other. I woke up and set out to my normal Sunday routine. Up early and to the kitchen to get the coffee brewing and I turn on the DAZN app and tune into NFL Game Day to listen to the game previews. At the same time, I open up the computer and it is time to make my morning searches through Rotoworld and check all the updates on my players. You don't want to be the owner who missed the news that a player in your starting lineup was hurt just before games time and end up with a wasted roster spot. That kind of negligence can cost you a win in a hurry.
After my first run through of my fantasy lineups is done, (yes, I make multiple checks throughout the morning) I start making my way through the various blogs that I follow. My first stop, of course, is Scorum. I clicked the tab to open up the home page and as it loaded up, there it was. The moment I had been waiting for had finally arrived. I could see it so clearly up in the top right corner of the page and it was like a shining beacon telling me I had made it to the promised land. I am now a Scorum Pro!!!
I knew this was coming and had hoped it would happen today but I was still overwhelmed with excitement. Now, being labelled as a Pro is nice but that has nothing to do with the excitement I was feeling. What had me pumped was that becoming a Pro means that I now have access to a voting slider. This is an absolute game changer for me. One of my only frustrations with Scorum to date is that each vote takes so much of your voting power (VP), roughly about 4-5% each time. Now, I think this is a good thing because it makes you carefully consider how you vote and can help to make sure that only the best content. My issue is that I think there is a ton of great content here on Scorum and without the vote slider I have regularly been voting myself into oblivion.
I know that it is important to keep your voting power as high as possible so that you can give bigger rewards but I really felt that there was so much great content that I wanted to acknowledge and vote. If the average number of votes that you get per day and still have your VP regenerate is 4-5 then I was failing to stick to that standard by a long shot. Up until this past week, I have had my VP hovering around the 40-50% mark and on several occasions, it dropped down to the 20% range.
One of my biggest issues is that I like to comment on the posts that I enjoy reading and I feel that if I like a post enough to comment on it then the post deserves my vote. Having a voting slider means that I will be able to vote for more content and spread more rewards around to more authors who deserve them. I have so often wanted to vote on more posts but had to abstain because my VP was already so low and now I won't have to worry about that as much. Part of me was concerned at first that using a slider would mean I was giving smaller rewards to some of the content I was voting but then I thought about those posts that were getting my 100% vote when my VP was at 20%. My rewards were so tiny at that point as well so the slider will make the votes more valuable. To me, more votes mean helping the community grow faster.
Scorum has already been a revelation for me and with the addition of the voting slider to my account, it just got even better. I am looking forward to helping others grow and supporting more great content on this amazing sports platform. One of the nice side effects of being able to vote on more great content is being able to gain a little more in curation rewards as well. The future is looking bright for the Scorum platform and I am so glad to be along for the ride. Cheers to being a Pro!!!!!
