Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year, you are more than aware that the crypto world has been in a free fall. Ever since the massive pump that saw Bitcoin reach astronomical heights of $20,000 USD, the market has been "correcting" itself. The fall was a slow decline at first but over the past three months, it seems as though the sky is falling in on the Cryptoverse.
Many people are running from the Crypto markets and looking to stop the bleeding. I have been looking closely at the market and various currencies and at this time when things are appearing bleak, I am digging my heels in harder. I am standing firm in my belief that the Crypto Markets will recover and I am putting my faith in one currency that I see having endless possibilities for growth.

Over the past week, I have been making an effort to plant deeper roots and increase my stake in the Scorum Platform. I have been a crypto supporter for a long time and have a few different coins that I have funds invested in. After evaluating the long-term potential for success and my ability to do something functional, I decided to start moving my investments into Scorum. I have never considered myself to be a big investor and to be perfectly honest, my disposable funds available for investing is limited. This has made me very cautious about where I have those limited funds invested. Even after being involved for a short time, I know that Scorum is one of the strongest investments I can make in the crypto market.
Moving my current holdings into Scorum was remarkably easy. Basically, all I needed was an OpenLedger account and I have had one of those for quite some time. Through OpenLedger, you can turn your currencies into Scorum and then transfer it straight here using your Scorum username. It first started with my moving a little bit of my Steem from Steemit to Bitshares on OpenLedger where I bought my first Scorum Coins. It was pretty exciting to make that move so easily and I quickly moved the funds into my Scorum account. Once I saw how easy it was, I started making more moves. I dumped the Tron Coins I had been holding since March and turned those into Scorum, then more Steem. In total, I purchased about 1500 Scorum last week and that is only the beginning. I fully intend to continue moving Steem into Scorum over the next few weeks.
It has been exactly three months since I joined Scorum and so much has happened. The platform has evolved quite a bit in just a short period of time and so have I. As I have become more involved in the platform I have seen a shift in my priorities when it comes to blogging in general and my crypto investment strategies. Every day I become a stronger believer in the long-term potential. In just the short time that I have been part of the Scorum community, there have been several big developments which I have written about in previous posts. These changes are have been the catalyst to me becoming more vested in the platform. The time to invest more is now.
The big reason that I want to get more invested in the Scorum platform now is that I truly feel that the community is on the verge of a significant growth spurt. The development team for Scorum listens to the community and takes suggestions and desires into account and actually follows through on needs and promises. This is shown by how hard they worked to create a way to fight plagiarism and then followed up by quickly addressing concerns. It is huge to know that the development team cares about community concerns and will actually address them. The development team is also providing so many ways for people to interact with the platform. You don't just have to be a blogger to engage with the Scorum community and earn crypto. The fantasy sports and betting components to the platform are a great way to bring new sports lovers to the platform and keep current members engaged.
Not only are these two features opening Scorum up to two billion dollar industries, they are also offering them in a zero commision setting. Once the word gets out about Scorum Fantasy Leagues and Bet Scorum there will be a huge bump in membership growth. I am also very impressed with the fact that there are already some pretty big named athletes that are onboard and supporting Scorum. Getting high profile athletes will help bring credibility to the platform and will continue to drive an increase in new users.

I think there are endless possibilities when it comes to the ways Scorum could engage the worldwide sports community in the future. One, in particular, is eSports. I think we are just touching the tip of the iceberg when it comes to eSports and there is so much potential for growth in this market.

I have been extremely intrigued by the growing eSports industry and how mainstream it is becoming. I can't help but think how great it would be for Scorum Coins to be embedded into games. How great would it be if you could somehow get rewarded with Scorum Coins from playing a game online or in an app form? This could potentially draw more members to the platform and push the functionality of the coin itself. Scorum is already sponsoring an online game called Whack Your Zombie Neighbour and I think the next logical step would be to somehow make Scorum games available right here on the platform and have them be monetized through Scorum Coin rewards. Could it be possible for the developers to create a Scorum extension similar to betting where users could go and play a variety of online games using Scorum tokens to both play and win? In my head, I see it being similar to an online casino set up except the content would be different games that users can play.
I realize that bumping up my Scorum Coin holdings by 1500 coins this week is small potatoes in the whole scheme of things but to me, it is a strong move in the right direction. The move is going to allow me to better support the great content that is posted in the blogging platform. I have put almost all of the coins into Scorum Power and this will increase the rewards that I am able to give other bloggers. I also have more Scorum to engage in the online betting platform. Finally, I want to be able to support projects on the platform and run contests of my own. Having some extra Scorum will help make that possible. My only wish is that I had more disposable funds to buy more Scorum with. Having said that, this is just the beginning and I will continue to strengthen my position in Scorum.
