Yes! You heard that right; I finally arrived on Scorum. But, if you’re not already part of the Steem blockchain, moreover, part of the Steem Poker League then, you probably have no idea who I am.

If you’re looking at the whole mask and Fawkes thing, you may think that I’m trying to stay anonymous, but no, that’s not true. As a matter of fact, there are some pictures of myself below.

When I joined Steem more than a year ago, I did it out of curiosity and used this username, to test the waters but, before I realized it; it was too late to create an account with my real name because things started to scale up for me. I could’ve joined with my real name on Scorum, which is George but, that would’ve only complicated the things. So, I’ll keep the Fawkes “brand” for now.

How I got on Scorum

You see, this is a rather interesting story because it just happened. I was on the SPL (Steem Poker League) discord a few days ago, just interacting with people when @tuck-fheman mentioned about Scorum. I had no idea what it was; I checked Google quickly, I saw that it is some sort of coin, blockchain but, I didn’t give it too much attention at that time.

But, because I started being more active online this week, I noticed that more and more people were talking about Scorum in SPL so, I had to give it a more in-depth look. I start to look into it, and then I realized that the whole SPL crew is already on Scorum. I have no idea how I missed it until now.

I saw sports, I saw cool people, and I saw blockchain so, of course, I opened up an account right then. I did all the phone-number, verification thing but, when I opened up my email to get my account key, something happened when the page loaded. I don’t know if the issue was from my end, or a technical issue from the website but, my key was not showing up. I tried some things but, nothing worked, and I thought that my account is lost.

A few days later, after talking to Tuck about Scorum again, I tried to see what’s up with my account. Surprisingly, I was able to send another confirmation email and get my key, even if I thought that it was initially lost. And now I’m here!

And now, now I am on Scorum.

I am familiar with the way the blockchain based social networks work thanks to Steem but, I know that some things are different over here so, I’ll have to read the whitepaper sometimes soon.

But, who’s Fawkes?

I am a young Romanian, and for the past one year and so I practiced my blogging activities on Steem. I am mainly blogging about self-development and psychology but, I’m also into sports, to some extent. I could easily consider myself a sport’s guy because I’ve been involved with sports, one way or another for as long as I can remember.

That's my face

As a kid, I used to play football (soccer) almost every day in summertime, even if I used to suck at it. I used to play like a crazy mtfkr, without any sense of technique, I was just bumping into players that were twice my age, and maybe even size sometimes, as hard as I could and steal the ball away. I was doing it just for the sport’s sake but not anymore nowadays because I don’t have 3-5 free hours to spend on getting angry at other people.

At the same time as that, I was going swimming every day, just for fun. I always enjoyed spending time in the water probably because my father used to take me to the lake since when I was three years old. I think that by the time I was six years old I was already swimming on my own. I still enjoy a recreational swim every now and then but, I don’t manage to do it that often anymore.

But, what sport am I practicing nowadays? Right now, nothing much because I want to profit off my free time as much as possible and finish up as much work as possible because in one month and so, I’m going to be busy with college shit and I will have less time for work. A few weeks ago I was into running and other kinesthetics exercises, and I’m looking forward to finishing my work and go back to that old schedule.

Another huge part of my life was always poker, and this whole gambling environment, even if I don’t often gamble. I started playing poker as a kid after one of my uncles taught me a few things about the game, and from there it was an amazing ride.

What I love not only about poker but all the other sports is their psychological side, and I will also try to focus on that in my posts a lot.

So, yes, sports are a rather big part of my life, I practiced quite a couple of them, so this platform is a good fit for me, for sure. I’ll start posting content related to sports anytime soon but, in about five days I have a one-week business trip that will steal all of my time so, I will only be able to get into more serious posting in September.

Looking forward to interacting with you all.
