I wish that scorum was Facebook Ten years back.

No doubt Facebook is an interesting, social media platform for its users and many others. It is a platform that can be said to be invaluable to most of its audience even if there’s no way to turn that value into money, they are still grateful for just having an account on it.

In September last year when i came across steemit.com by chance, it was like "it can't be true" for me. I couldn't just believe that one can be rewarded for simply creating a content on his or her own blog with an account that was registered for free. A lot of users like me have been on Facebook for a minimum of 10 years and have posted pictures and other interesting contents that have generated hundreds of likes as well as comments from friends and other users for weeks on end. Unfortunately, all that data, all that time and all the energy used on Facebook was a total waste.

I discovered steemit quite late because that was when most of the juice was sapped already by the whales and all other goodies and proprieties got jettisoned, yet i was still grateful and contented with the crumbs that my posts do get from time to time. I cant thank the heavens enough for leading me to steemit, but i am forever grateful for the birth of Scorum. Even if at the end of the day there is no monetary compensation for me, the excitement during the build-up of the platform and the experience so far, is worth reliving and cherishing ten thousand times more than Facebook or any other social networking site for that matter.

Right now i feel cheated by Facebook when i see what Scorum is doing, i feel like crying for all the wasted days and nights on Facebook. Yesterday the management of Scorum threw another major surprise to the entire scorumcommunity by the "World Cup airdrop" announcement.

"The World Cup Pool (as we call all this extra SP) will be distributed among all users of the platform who created content or were actively engaged from the Blog launch up to the final of the World Cup in Russia. The pool will be distributed proportionally — each member will receive approximately 150% of Scorum Power than he has earned on the content creation. To cut the long story short, in the end user’s SPs will increase by ~ 2.5 times". Check that out!!!!

With such kinds of gestures on the part of the management, it will be unconscionable if not a sin for me or anyone else not to promote the good news of Scorum from his or her own community to the ends of the earth.

If your gut have not told you already, i want to tell you that Scorum gives a shit about you. But whether you believe it or not, that is your own WAHALA as we say in Naija. I have since started the process of gradual withdrawal from Facebook and other sites that have nothing for its users. I think it is my duty to promote Scorum in whatever capacity i can.

I know this post may not go down well with some people, but right now that is the only thing my Marghi sense cans see. And as Napoleon H. puts it, " I have said may say and allow the chips to fall where it may".

Its me @izge.
