Hey folks, so I thought I would write an update on the games development since the initial announcement. It's running over the scheduled time (as all of our games always do) because we are spending additional time polishing up the game. We have the first version already completed but I made the decision to hold the game back because I wasn't happy with the finished kill animations. I wanted a bit more detail to be put into them to make them extra outrageously fun to watch!

This is the reason I had not announced anything before when people were questioning Scorum and myself because I things never go to plan when your a perfectionist or developing any game actually - delays, delays, delays! But never mind, Round 3 of the alterations of the animations are already underway and I am hopeful we should be able to deliver the game to Scorum next week. By then it will have been vetted and reworked by us many times so it will look extra polished with a sweet sweet shine!

I also wanted spend extra time on getting the Scorum branding to a high standard within the game including a splash screen intro - this will be important when it comes to the viral version we will publish on many gaming portals later such as Newgrounds.com, SilverGames.com, CrazyGames.com and many other portals. Typically once we put a viral version out there online, they get picked up by all the big gaming portals eventually. But just as important is the branding for Scorum for Youtubers.

We want Scorum's name at the forefront in the game, but of course in a classy rather than trashy way, but it needs to be prominent. I am working with the team to get a logo that works within the game and at the wipe away scene (when you clean the scene from each kill to reset the game).

In the mean time I thought I'd give you a sneak peak on how some of the initial crazy ways you whack your zombie neighbour pan out...

Competition Announcement

Building games no matter how simple or complex is all about the fans otherwise no gamer would ever start out - game devs don't design games just for profit indeed it's usually the opposite.

This one is no different, I want Scorumer's to get involved in the games success therefore I am delighted to announce we will be running a competition shortly after the game's initial release where people get the chance to contribute towards the crazy kill scenarios in the game!

The lucky winners (there will be 3) will get to work with Whackit.co in creating their very own crazy zombie kill scenario in the game involving sports items. We will work together on developing an outrageous kill that you will be credit for in the game itself!

I want Scorum's first ever game to be a real community effort where many contributors shape the game's success in both funny and shocking ways. That's right kills do not always have to be so gruesome, some can simply be fantastically funny.

I already have 3 Scorum contributors working with me on 3 of the additional kills, they have been very supportive towards the game from the beginning. But there will be 8 extra kills developed and I want atleast 3 more people involved in the final production of the game. More details will come nearer the time on the competition.
