I am writing this because I want to start to promote the Dutch Scorum community and help it to grow big! While being around on this great platform for almost three months now I discovered that it's hard to attract new Dutch members and let them stay and be active.

It's challenging for Non-English Speaking members to write good quality posts in English en receive decent rewards for it. For example, I had no experience in blogging at all, let alone in English! It's hard work and a lot of struggling :-) but I stayed around and found out that I like to write about sports and improve my writing skills also because I believe Scorum has a great future. However, it would have been a lot easier for me if I could write in my language to start to know about the platform, improve my writing skills and let my confidence grow to eventually post something in English. I guess I am learning the hard way.

In this post, I will share some of my ideas on how I think we can help and promote Other language domains and attract more active members to Scorum.

Referral System

how cool would it be if we have some kind of Affiliate system? All members have their referral link like https://scorum.com/en-us/sign-up?ref=marcbrom and for every new member the referrer receives a bonus of 5 SCR, and when this new member is active, for example after 3 quality posts this bonus can grow up to 50 SCR.

I think this can help grow the Scorum platform and stimulate users to promote Scorum, especially for the non-English domains.

Quick links to other domains

It is difficult to switch between the different Scorum domains, For example, when I want to switch between the English Scorum and the Dutch Scorum I go to my profile and click on the post I wrote in Dutch to switch to the Dutch Scorum domain.

I would love to see something like a drop-down menu in the header or some buttons (see examples below).

I think this will help to attract other people to the different domains of Scorum.

Promoting Dutch Scorum domain

How many Dutch users do we have at this moment? I have no idea. I only know that we have 14 members in the Dutch Telegram chat (6 of them are Scorum crew). So if you are reading this and u are Dutch please join us at https://t.me/ScorumNLD and share ideas, non-Dutch members are more then welcome too!

some ideas I have on my mind:

  • Organize contests soon (sponsors for this are more than welcome).
  • Start link building to the Dutch Scorum.
  • Start posting articles about Scorum on other Dutch websites.
  • Organizing a meetup with Dutch members.

Translating articles

I saw this discussion in the Telegram chat 2 weeks ago, it was about writing an article in English and translate it to another language as well and receive double SP. Is this not done? Or do u think it can help grow other Scorum domains?
