After over a month of preparation, I'm ready to share the first part of my interview with Vlad, Scorum CEO. He answers your questions and mine in this exclusive interview. Enjoy and I'm looking forward to your thoughts below in the comment section.

Over two weeks ago, I asked you for your questions for Vlad Artemyev, the CEO of Scorum. You delivered many fantastic questions, and it's time to release the first part of my interview with Vlad.

As most of you know, Vlad and the team have been busy working on the platform and repairing the bug discovered after launching BetScorum.com. Vlad cares about the community, and took time to answer the first few questions we had for him. When ready, I will be able to publish the rest of the interview.

I'd like to thank Vlad for his transparency and spending time answering our questions and addressing our concerns. Here is the first set of questions from the community and answers from Vlad.

Question inspired by @Hassan: Could you share the story behind Scorum? Why did you want to create and lead this project? What was the inspiration?

Vlad Artemyev: The Scorum story is a long one. We could write a whole book about, but I can share a small piece of it here with you.

I spent about two years researching sports websites while launching my first sports project in fantasy sports. During this research, I analysed about 20.000 websites and about 20 parameters for each one. These were websites from all over the world.

So the whole Scorum ecosystem is based on the main patterns of sports fans’ behaviors on the internet. About 90% of visitors go to media, betting/fantasy and statistical centers. It was clear enough that providing solutions that could cover these three parts would be attractive for users because it’s much more comfortable to stay in one ecosystem where everything is developing for you rather than having to visit multiple websites and interfaces. The blockchain obviously improves ecosystems, bringing in transparency and setting up the community.

During your journey with Scorum so far, what has surprised you the most and why?

Vlad: There are far more scammers in the blockchain industry in all directions (icos, exchanges, common users, dapps, marketing, listing services, payment gateways, lawyers etc.) than what I had expected. I expected that transparent technology would attract more fair people. I believe that this is one of the main problems in industry. At Scorum, we want to set a new standard of transparency, fairness, and opportunities for our employees and community members.

It’s no secret that cryptocurrencies, at least when it comes to price, are struggling. How do you expect the long-term success of cryptocurrencies to impact Scorum directly? Is it possible for Scorum to succeed and grow if cryptocurrencies continue to struggle and decrease in value?

Vlad: We’ve made several improvements to our strategy to help limit the impact that the fluctuation of cryptocurrency prices could have. Most of all, we’ve made improvements to aid in user adoption. I expect Scorum to succeed despite the decreasing values of other cryptocurrencies, which will depend on the number of users we gave. It's not easy to give an exact prognosis, so I can only promise that we will do our best to achieve that independence.

Question from @Pete: “Is there anything else Scorum needs to succeed at this point other than users, and what is your vision for a successful and completed Scorum Sports Media Center?”

Vlad: We have to make a solid statistics center for all sports and cybersports, integrate the blogging platform and stats center, build a strong revenue stream for writers, attract more quality writers, and as much as possible, pro athletes.

What are your best pieces of advice for users here in the Scorum community?

Vlad: Be in touch! There are lots of new tools, activities and fun we will deliver for the best sports fan experience ever!
