My Takeaways

It was great to hear Olha talk about Scorum to a crowd full of people who are likely already a part of the Steem blockchain. I was mostly interested in what points she would make about the platform and why.

Olha focused on the importance of sports, design, the betting industry, and the Scorum betting platform. It's clear that the team believes, and so do many of us here, that the betting platform will be a key component. In fact, there was very little content about the blogging platform and the content on Scorum outside of the plagiarism checker. There was also a heavy emphasis on constant updates and user-friendliness.

Maybe I'm jumping too quickly to assumptions, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that these topics were not covered by accident. Several of the limitations of the current version of Steemit that's available to users is that it's not very user-friendly, plagiarism runs rampant, and there are few updates by the team.

I think Olha made a solid case for the legitimacy of Scorum for anyone listening or watching, regardless of if they are currently interested in sports or the blockchain.

Great job Olha! Thanks for sharing Scorum with the Steem community and the world at SteemFest 2018. What did you take from Olha's talk at SteemFest?
