Is being over a year now since the people behind this great platform came up and took the bold step to establish a blockchain platform dedicated to sport and I can authoritatively say, so far that scorum has become the biggest sport blockchain in the world. We all can attest to the fact that the management has really done their best in tackling challenges that comes with platform of this nature, taking into cognizance the mistakes that mare steemit as posted by different individual experiences.
Today marks the end of 2018 and will never come again. So, I took out this time to write about many developments that prevailed in scorum in the year. I may have not joined scorum early enough to write much but I have done little research and came up with some few things that made scorum worth while in 2018.

Of cause, ‘’All work and no play makes jack a dull boy’’ a popular saying goes. I can say without mixing words scorum was really fun to me in the sense that there we a lot of contest which basic aim is to lend a helping hand to newbie’s in particular and scrorum bloggers in general get recognised in the community as well get rewarded for quality content but most of them turned out to be a thing of fun which got many sponsors across the community and such contests are
Happy Moanday
Happy moanday contest initiated by @pete which has been very successful and has come to stay in the community is my best contest in the sense that it give me that avenue to laugh most times. Many bloggers get to moan managers, players as well as clubs for a disastrous outing and errors during the week and I can authoritatively say that it has achieved it aim as many get to win scr week in week out especially among the newbie’s.
Freaky Friday
This is another contest organised by @pete as well that have seen many bloggers getting to win scr as much as 88 scr which has been the highest if am not mistaken and not less than 55 scr on each contest. Then you get to ask yourself, how many days and how many posts will it take a newbie to make such amount? This contest no doubt has helped and I will putting up a year in review post about it later on in writers get to see things from different perspective from a given picture. .
Hall of Fame
Scorum ‘’Hall of Fame’’ is @luike96players contest that made wave in the community to me due to its unique logo which I love so much cutting across different sports segments to the extent that I got exposed to cricket for the first time in my life to learn the rules and some terminologies used in the sport. It wasn’t an easy contest but at the end make many writers become increasingly aware about other sports while having over 80scr shared among contestants on each occasion.
Helping Hands
@tales is the boss behind this idea to achieve visibility to many newbie’s who were doing wonderfully well in the community in terms of upvote. One thing that made me like the idea was the way newbie’s were rated in a horse race format or football formation which saw many blogger winning each week as well as runners up smilling with some scr. The logo was another fascinating thing about it for me as it portrayed the right massage for the contest.
Scorum Patronage
This has been running for weeks now under @sport-frei gives the community pro badge members the opportunity to nominate an active newbie whose post deserved to be visited to help encourage them write more and I can say that he has kept to every piece of his promise. The principle of patronage is that he will have to visit the post of the most nominated newbie and upvote them at 100% for one week.
Predictions
I can’t just conclude this part without talking about one of the posts we see week in week out from scorumitalia, @cayelispor53 @barbadosso and host of other individual writers on prediction or final outcome of a match. The main idea behind this is to boost the scorumbet patronage by well analysed matches as well as give the community member the opportunity to air their view about match out with aim to win some scr to as much as 30 scr. I can say that scorum has been worthwhile but a lot more needs to be done as well in spreading the gospel of scorum to the sporting world letting investors to come in.
