Every day, each one of us browses Scorum for articles to read and comment from articles that we like. Some of us may experience delays while browsing and some may have a fast lightning. All of these matters where servers are located, loading of the website may take longer if it is accessed on far client location rather than those who reside near to the server's location.
Now, I'm a bit curious about where Scorum server's location so I check some tools on the internet that could help evaluate server's location. I did use their domain name scorum.com as data reference so we can come up with its traced Geolocation.
Scorum Geolocation
I used website tool iplocation.net in tracing. The result says that it was hosted in Microsoft Corporation's Microsoft Azure hosting which reside in Netherlands, Amsterdam. I am not sure if it is located there but as per the site's evaluation from different resources, it does represent the same results.
Testing Speed
Now, I am curious in comparing speed from different locations. So I search for a tool that can help me gather those data that I need. After a minute of comparing from one tool to another, I find pingdom.com gives better results and does have already preset locations that I can instantly test.
Now, testing via Melbourne, Australia. As the results say it does totally load at around 14 seconds. The testing involves all the files and contents within the website, checking them how long they totally load up. You may see full results of testing here.
For New York location, it loads around 3 seconds which really great for US area. You can see full results here.
For San Jose testing it results in 6 seconds loading time which is also great. See full results here.
For Sweden, loading is much faster at around 1 second.
At least we have no idea about its loading time. Even if your location is not there, you can easily compute it via location distance. It would be great if you can provide your total loading time of the website in a comment while putting your location too. By that, we can have comparative results, one way for Scorum team to re-evaluate that they may make some improvements out of it if any.
Anyway, you can still search for some other tools and check what you want to know about Scorum, whether you want to know their traffic, statistics and some other information which you are curious about. This can also be a knowledge base to all Scorum members that they are aware of the site's information, so whenever they are asked by a friend, they could answer those questions directly.
It is better to know more about the site rather than you just sit there and be unaware of anything.
Note : Some data may differ, so i would request that you could test it yourself too.
