Once again, Hi to all my humans. I hope that you all are having a good day/night whatever it is for you. So since this is my second post here let me share some experience of Scorum platform with you all guys and also some of the bad things I spotted out here.

For the start I was pretty impressed by the user interface of the scorum. Clean and easy to use. Second thing the community, I found a lot of people here that are super friendly, just to mention a few they are @girolamomarotta, @swolesome, @philnewton and @hassan. Nice and lovely humans that helped me get more familiar with Scorum and its communities.


Ok now coming back to the main point and what is shown in title. "Spotting Scorum Shit-posters". Now generally I thought there won't be many abusers on Scorum platform as there are only 32,239 users as of now. But I was wrong, on going through the post of @swolesome and looking around for some time, I knew that the shit-posters are long started on their thing. They already started to use Scorum platform as a money making thing and abusing the platform and polluting the content of the Scorum.

If you would have read my previous post I have been on steemit for a while and I left it because no matter how good content you make right now the abusers are always there to take off the reward. So I don't want to see Scorum take the same path as steemit did. We as a Scorum user and its community should do something about it. I personally am a small SP holder person, but still I flag the post with 100% because I don't agree with this kind of behavior. So here I am making a post about it and exposing the shit-posters in my post.

So you might be asking who is this shit-poster. Well the username is Kostybrat and the link to the account is here. On going through its previous posts, you can see many post with just one random picture from google and the post is upvoted to $0.20. The posting frequency of this account is around 2-4 post per day and all are upvoted by $0.20.

Now the main thing is, its not a self upvote. This account is constantly upvoted by another account with username "t3ran13". This second account is a self upvoter and upvotes Kostybrat too, and also a shit poster in the same way as the previous account. So as of to what I think it is ran by the same person. So its a multi-account self upvoting ring. The link to the second account is here.


So a little stats from the nerdy bot.

  • SP holding of Kostybrat : 8.87 SP.
  • SP holding of t3ran13 : 299.65 SP.
  • Current Upvote value : $0.20
  • Current pending payout of Kostybrat: $4.12 [Seven days post pending payout].
  • Current pending payout of t3ran13: $0.55 [Seven days post pending payout].

So, lets say we don't do anything about it and let it continue for 30 days what will happen?

Answer is simple, the account will keep on increasing by 0.25% [approx]. So after 30 days it will be 331.97 SP from current 308.56 SP. Thats 23.41 SP gain not much right, I know that. But take a second for a while and imagine just 5% of the current total users doing the same thing on the same scale. That means 1611 users out of 32239 total user will be shit posting and self upvoting.

So looking at the bigger picture, you can see 37,713 SP is gone from the reward pool to the shit poster every month. That means that 37K SP are being taken away from the rightful good quality bloggers.

Let us do one thing take it to the next level. Lets just continue for 180 days or 6 months. Values remain the same for upvotes at $0.20. Now after increasing 0.25% [approx] everyday for 180 days, what will be the outcome? Don't worry I will calculate it for you guys.

  • Total abusers : 1611 out of 32239 [5% of the total users]
  • Each account with 300 SP that is self upvoting rises from 300 SP to 470 SP in account holding, that's a 170 SP increase per account.
  • Total SP taken out of the reward pool by abusers : 170 SP x 1611 accounts. That is 273,870 SP being taken out of the pool and goes to shit poster.

Not going again in much detail, for a year I calculated, you know just out of curiosity and here is the result.

  • Per account increment : From 300 SP to 746 SP
  • Total SP going to abusers from reward pool in a year: 718,506 SP.

So by this stats I just want to let you guys know that even if its mere cents that the abusers are making in the long run it will be a hell of a big amount that we are suffering from. Also this are just considering a low SP accounts, haven't even considered the bigger SP accounts doing that.

I am posting about this because idk I instantly fell in love with this platform and I will be sad to see Scorum have the fate same as steemit. It sucks.

I did started just right now. I decided to flag about 2-3 post per day with 100% which are shit-post and are just here for reward pool raping. I also actively reported it to a awesome server called "Scorum Abusers" started by @nhl for reporting plagiarism and other stuff related post, link to the server is here.

Apart from that I made my own server called "I Am Scorum". As an introduction to this server I can say it is made for the general chat for the people of Scorum. No matter which sport you are fan of, you can join and chat right away. Also to help Scorum be a better place I made a channel in there for reporting any abuser or shit poster. I personally find shit posters and put it in that channel if you want to see. I have nothing to offer as a reward for reporting this shit posters to us and neither I guarantee that I can flag it down to zero post reward of these abusers, but all I can say is "I will try". Rather than just sitting here and allowing the best place like Scorum to turn into a abused platform, I will take my chances and do whatever I can.

Right now my SP ain't enough to flag in big amounts, but in near future I plan to increase my SP account and try to take down abusers as much as I can.
