In case you're just joining Scorum, this will guide you on how to write your introductory post. If you want to dive right in and start posting and earning, then this post is for you 

Your introductory post is a good way of promoting yourself or building a good number of followers on the platform

Here are the tips that will help you on how to write a good introductory post 

  1. Use the right Tags

Tags are very important in your post and we all know tags play a very vital role in public views. Using the wrong tags will make your post less visible to the public. When making your introductory post, it's pertinent to know that the primary tag that should come first is "scorum". This can be found in the drop down box on the publish pane. 

After the primary tag, you're allowed to add five other tags to your post on scorum. The other two important tags for introductory posts are "introduceyourself Introducemyself followed by community tags. E.g scorumnigeria scorumcommunity scorum-fans 

2. Add a Picture

Use a picture or video if you can. If your introductory post doesn't have any kind of visual, it'll be very easy for people to ignore it. It's a good idea if you post a picture of yourself holding a sign with Scorum written on it and the current date. One of the most valuable introductory posts I've seen on this platform had over $400. The dude wrote "hi scorum" and the date on a piece of paper, so we all could know how real he's real. 

Introductory post that shows yourself is a form of verification and it goes a long way to prove that you're an authentic person and not a troll. 

Note: if you're the type that prefers to stay anonymous you can ignore this. 

3. Tell us why you're on Scorum 

It will be nice to tell people how you found yourself on scorum and what got you excited about it. Consider the following questions 

i. Did you come to Scorum only to bet? 

ii. Did you come to Scorum to post promote your club? 

iii. Did you come to Scorum only to invest?

Make sure you mention these things in your introductory post and fill your tags according to these interests. A good introductory post introductory post should have up to 300 words. 

4. Say good things about Scorum 

We like to hear you say some things you consider to be nice features on the platform. If you belong to any community, you can also talk about your community.

Except you want to be an investor and nothing more, it doesn't make sense to make an introductory post telling people your mission on scorum is to make money. This shows desperation and it may discourage people from following you. It's not a good way to present yourself even if that's your mission here. 

6. Salutation

Conclude your post by thanking everyone for reading it. You can tell your readers to show you love by upvoting introductory post. Say it in a way that it won't look like you're begging for upvotes.
