After 9000 kilometers, the sun is still shining

After being on the road for a couple of days and going through some last long distance travel we finally made it back to Berlin. I am glad things somehow worked out, but especially the last leg was pretty though for everyone though. And I wish I was in better physical condition to be able to enjoy the trip a little bit more. But I am glad I could spend some quality time in Tokyo, one of my all-time favorites cities in the world.

Fortunately I am going to have a few weeks before I have to go back to the country of the rising sun, staying at my folks place will hopefully give me the needed boost to get over and through some shaking stuff. And being here has always been a great time which these days I only can enjoy once in a while.

First Scorum break ever

Anyways I have been away from Scorum for a few days, what was my first break since joining here at the beginning of last October. I guess it was a needed break and I am quite sure that during the next weeks there will be more days where I won't get the chance to write anything or even just stop by to check out any articles.

However I am making sure to not miss upvoting some of your posts, especially to not forget the upvotes through my Scorum Patronage initiative. I have been checking out this week's beneficiary @shaungerow, and appropriate to the season I got myself into some hockey. Let's see what else he is going to deliver in the next coming days.

And from now on I also should have some stable Internet again, even though I still won't have my own computer. But I should be able to continously upvote the posts and writers who deserve it.

Sensing the tense mood

And I absolutely have noticed the tensions which are swirling around and are all over Scorum these days, where different users are attacking each other and some people seem to call for a battle between the bettors and the bloggers. Apparantly for upvoting the "wrong" article I have been kicked out of some Discord server now, fair enough but I am not going to join this petty battlefield.

Of course there will be a time when Scorum members will not be able to agree with others, that's how it is in every family around the world.

But let's us not get into name calling and blaming each other. Rather let's find a way to community about all dissonances and find a way to solve our problems in a fair matter. We are all sailing on the same boat and eventually aiming for the same point beyond the horizon. I order top reach our goal it would be much more efficient if we could all work together, instead of throwing hurdles in front of other Scorum users.

And certainly there will be different fractions here on Scorum, who then will see things in a different light. But nobody should be interested in seeing some escalation of any personal rivalries, sometimes it would be much smarter if we all could just mind our own business. That's also directed towards my self, it is hard to be immune to some certain thoughts though.

It is up to us building some strong and genuine community, were people start looking behind their own horizon and start thinking long-term. And long-term also means looking after each other because other people's success is often an important pillar of our own victory as well. Only together we will be able to make Scorum the attractive and warm and welcoming place we want it to be!

That's why I will be back tomorrow to open the next Scorum Patronage round and to call for your nominations of other writers who in your eyes could need some special assistance. Therefor I hope to hear from all of you soon.

And for me it means right now is the perfect chance for some high-quality family time, there isn't anything better than watching the older and the younger folks enjoying themselves together.

Catch you all later...

PEACE !
