And again it is Thursday and the time has come when I need you to suggest me some great new writers who need some support!
Scorum Patronage is going into its fifth round now. Even the last two weeks we were really down with people stopping, this week I am super positive that we are getting lots of nominations of many creative writers.
And again, to encourage everybody to join this week’s nomination round, I will give out a 100% upvote for the comment which will nominate this round’s “winner” FIRST!
Plus there will be more upvotes for those comments which explain why a certain nominee will be a great choice and why he/she needs my assistance.
As I did in the last weeks, the coming week too I will accompany the candidate with the most nominations for a whole week and try to encourage him/her with my upvotes and some comments. The idea behind Scorum Patronage is bringing some light into newer member’s blogs and motivating those writers to continue contributing interesting blog posts. I also hope that just by being nominate the one or the other already feels motivated to write more wonderful articles about the fascinating world of sport and not to give up in the beginning.
As written before this week I' m visiting @blanchy’s blog now, one of our new Scorum writers. Before being nominated his articles went through almost unnoticed but for the last days his posts have caught way more attention and are being rewarded big times.
So maybe my humble assistance is already showing some results. Same with some of the former beneficiaries who are now doing pretty well.
I am also planning on telling you about the chosen writer’s work in a extra post later on, as I did just the weeks before:

Nominations for the 5th round:
Let me start the fifth round of my Scorum Patronage. Like last time I want you to suggest Scorum users who deserve a little boost. In particular, I am thinking of new members of our community who may not have received so much attention with their work.
Those members should have less than 300 SP powered up and if possible have joined us in the last few weeks.
Therefore I need you guys again so I will repeat my call from last week:
Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?
All you have to do is to write the name of the user in my comment section until Sunday.
I will then pick the candidate with the most nominations and accompany him/her for one week. If there is no leader in the nominations, I will select the one who has less SP in his or her wallet.
The blog of the user chosen by the community will be visited daily by me in the coming week and I will upvote one article per day with 100% . Hopefully this will generate some more attention and other users will start reading those articles too.
After the end of the Patronage Week, I would like to introduce the respective blogger to the community in a separate article and report about his or her work.
A few more things:
- Same as last week, the comment which nominates this round’s pick FIRST, will get a 100% upvote from me. I will also vote comments, which tell me why you are thinking that particular user deserves being supported by me.
- To avoid that those articles only consist of a few pictures and link but no substantial content I explicitly reserve the right to reduce the value of my upvote. I want to encourage everyone to stick to level of quality which we all want to see here at Scorum.
- And I also need the articles to be writing in a language I can understand, this will be in English or if you are really cool also in German or in Japanese. Unfortunately other languages can't be considered.
- Since the question came up before: YES, you can also vote for the same user as someone before you. As one nominations somebody get as more likely is the chance this user will be on top at the end. And please don't nominate yourself!
- I would be great to see the names of writers whose post don't usually get much attention and aren't visited so much. I know there are many outside who really try to bring something to Scorum but who aren't so successful yet. After starting it can be challenging and it might not feel very encouraging, when our post seem to be lost in the big Scorum nirvana.
Scorum Patronage is on Discord
No you can also find Scorum Patronage at Discord were I am running some channels on the "I am Scorum"-server hosted by the one and only @rougebot. You will see recent announcements and nominations and you will have a chance to discuss any questions and suggestions.
Please follow this link: https://discord.gg/3MRZF7 If you haven't checked out this place yet, please come over and say hello to everyone.
There will also be a place, to talk about the recent nominations and to promote each other.
The idea behind Scorum Patronage is to encourage everybody to become more engaging and start interacting even with other users, especially the ones who have just joined our wonderful platform. We all need to help building some strong and genuine community, were people start look behind their own horizon and start thinking long-term.
One more thought
Scorum Patronage was born out of a sudden idea I had a few weeks ago and is all but a perfect concept. As I could notice the last few week, I didn’t get many people stop by and leaving some nomination of other writers. Therefor I am thinking how to improve or even completely change the whole project to actually make it work.
I am very glad that some writers who I assisted are doing now pretty well, so at least I can claim some success already.
But I also started Scorum Patronage to create a place for more interaction and engagement, and looking at that goal I am still way behind my hopes and expectations.
But nothing is lost, we are still at the beginnings and I am very positive that this round will see lots of interesting names popping up right away.
I am looking forward to your nominations but also to any questions, concerns or suggestion.
Catch you guys soon...
