And the decision is made!
But first a big thank you to the genuine people who stopped by and nominated some other Scorum blogger for the fifth round of Scorum Patronage.
As I did in the weeks before, I will again assist one of our new Scorum writers for one week and visit their blog daily and upvote one post every day. I will use 100% of my voting power, unless I have the feeling the post might not deserve such a big upvote. So far I didn't need to get back to this option, which I only want to use when I feel some posts don't meet the quality standards we would like to see here at Scorum.
By upvoting some some new writers I want to help them to get started and to get noticed by the Scorum community. We all have experienced how tough blogging can be, I still need to fight to get noticed too. It's essential to stay motivated, so I will visit, read and comment all their posts for the next seven days. And after that week, I'm also going to write an article where I will introduce that certain writer, what hopefully helps to shed some more light on their work

Let's get back to the nominations. Every week I keep asking you the following question:
Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?
This time we only had 1 !!! valid nomination. Therefor we still have a clear winner! @jonnyball who has just joined this December and actually only has mad two posts so far.
I don't know what to expect from his blogs yet but I am open to everything and looking forward to broaden my horizon again.
A special THANKS goes out to @fraste, who was the only Scorum member who left a valids nomination. I really appreciate stopping by here and keeping Scorum Patronage alive.
As I wrote before, the comment who recommended this weeks choice FIRST, will get a 100% upvote from me, to also reward the people who are coming over and leaving their nominations. Here you go @fraste!
As I said before, this week we only had one valid nomination. The other nomination was for someone who already has over 18K of SP in his wallet and therefor could not be considered.
Yes! I am a little disappointed to see the numbers of nominations going down so low. Not sure why it seems so difficult to find people who would take some time to think about which other Scorum writer would need some little help.
Scorum Patronage only needs a few moments of your attention, the little time it takes stopping by once a week and leaving your nomination for one of the newer writers here on Scorum who hasn't been so successful yet.
My job will be supporting and assisting the writer who got the most nominations.
Could it be that many people just don't read what new writers have to say? Are we already only sticking to the circle of people who benefit us and don't care about the others? Is all that talk about creating a genuine and inviting community just hot air?
I really hope I am mistaken here and therefor will continue with what I have started. @jonnyball is going to have my support for the next week and on Thursday I will open the next round for nominations.
However, I might have to change the concept and consider a different approach.
If you have any suggestions how to improve the Scorum Patronage project, please hook me up and we can talk about it! Leave me your comments or come over to chat in the Scorum Patronage channels on the I am Scorum Discord server. There you can also find the latest announcements and the profiles of all the former beneficiaries
Let's not forget, blogging here on Scorum is not only for getting a fat upvote. Interaction and some genuine comment under one of our articles can be some really motivating and stimulating feedback as well.
