Hello Scorum, what's going on?

It's December now and we are approaching the end of the year, just a few weeks are left before we kinda start all over again. I don't want to make this a year review yet but we are surely getting into this season and mood now. Of course December is a busy month but most people spend their time preparing some X-mas or end-of-the-year party. That's said I rather guess we won't see any late crypto rally anymore and the price of our beloved Scorum coin will stay as low as it plunged this year. I am always out trying to find some signs of recovery but I am afraid to say that there aren't any. At least it seems that the Scorum coin price has found its bottom ( damn yeah.. I really hope it won't fall any lower from here..), and maybe in 2020 things could finally turn around. But what we need is good news and more active people on this still promising and exciting sport news platform.

I know there are still some cool cats around hanging out with me and coming up with some good articles about the thrilling world of sports. And those people I am here to support and to encourage to keep going writing their blogs here on this platform.

That's why I am here with my Scorum Patronage initiative to support writers who have just taken on the challenge of providing us with some news from the exciting world of sports. But I need you too to have a look and think which Scorum user could use some more support. Then nominate this user in the comment section of this post and leave the rest to me. On Sunday I will check through all nominations and chose the candidate who got nominate the most as our next beneficiary.

My job won't be finish yet, since from there I will accompany the chosen user for a total of seven days to read their articles and to support them with my upvotes. Which will hopefully help to bring some more attention to their profiles and to encourage them to continue writing quality sport blogs.

But I will not only visit the winner's blog, but in addition give out some big votes for the person who nominates this round's winner first. Plus I will also leave some upvotes on every genuine nomination or comments. Let's see if this will eventually bring some more people onto joining the nominations.

Nominations for WEEK 49

This gonna be the forty ninth round of Scorum Patronage in 2019. I usually ask you a very simple a question:

Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a whole week?

Please nominate me some Scorum users who need some support or some initial boost. I am thinking about all those new members of our growing and creative community but also about everyone else who is having a hard time finding its place here on Scorum.

It is not so important how many Scorum Coins or Scorum Power somebody has in its wallet, I would rather like to focus on everybody's post reward. Let's try to find those users who don't usually get payed out big, but still try to provide some interesting and creative content. I will not set any limit anymore, but rather decide case by case and have a look on the candidates whole history.

As I said on Sunday I will choose the nominee who gets the most nominations and declare him or her to our winner of the week. If there is no leader in the nominations, I will choose the candidate who has less SP in its wallet.

I will then visit the blog of our chosen one on a daily basis to read and upvote one post a day for a whole week. Depending on quality and content I might use up to 100% of my voting power, however I strictly reserve myself the right to upvote with less or even to refuse a vote, when I feel an article doesn't live up to the quality level I would like to see here on Scorum.

Hopefully my assistance will help to bring our beneficiary into the spotlight and get his or her posts exposes to a bigger readership.

Some final words

If you have read my post from a week ago, in which I also invited you to the latest nomination round, you could have noticed that I was fighting to beat the plagiarism checker who only granted me about half of the post reward, due to using parts of my former articles. I guess it is in the nature of weekly "contest blogs" to often use the same scheme, pattern and words again, since the rules and the guideline of my initiative hasn't changed. That's why I often have problems to get the full post reward and because of that I am coming up with some different topics and the end of every article. But somehow last week I truly had to fight to get above the 60% level to get the full reward. Somehow the plagiarism checker wouldn't accept what I had written and made me to come up with more and more stuff. Of course I need to admit that not everything I wrote last week could win any award, frankly speaking it was just to beat the machine and to get up to 100%. But somehow it was a truly annoying situation, if I just write a few meaningless words I would easily get 100 percent, but I assume I am still providing some value to the platform and its users by running this initiative. I guess I just need to suck out some words of my fingers and hammer them into my keyboard. I does feel I am just slamming my own article but it is the only way to win that little fight. Therefor I won't be finished here yet.

Let's get back to Handball, the German women team started quite right into this year's World Championship. In their first game the beat the strong Brazilian team 30:24, mostly of this win was due to the strong performance of the German goalkeeper Dinah Eckerle who saved 17 balls, including 3 penalties. Panamerica Champion Brazil managed to keep up with the German side but at the end was clearly defeated. The second game saw Germany playing versus Australia, and the German ladies didn't leave the team from Down Under any chance. 34:8 - the result speaks for itself, but the German team can't even be really satisfied, since they left out lots of their possibilities and should have scored way more. However this game came just refuel some confidence for the next matches, which will be much harder and more challenging. Today the will play versus Denmark and later this week against South Korea and still-champion France, who are already under pressure themselves. The French team only drawed against Brazil after losing to South Korea and are already facing some big pressure.

For the German team it is essential to get under the best seven to receive not destroy their chances of some tickets for the Olympic handball tournament which will be be hold next year in Japan. The first two games were promising but now they need to show whether they really belong to the world best handball teams. Their male counterparts finished the last World Cup at fourth place, after playing quite a some thrilling and exciting matches. Let's hope the German handball ladies can even outperform the German men grap themselves some medals. That would be a nice closure of the 2019 season and a big boost for the upcoming Olympic challenges, which will start with a qualification tournament in Tokyo. It surely isn't an easy way to join the Olympics, which isn't about the creme de la creme of sports, but rather about a mix of athletes from all over the world.

Actually it would be nice to be able to match some of their games at this world cup, I am already in the country but unfortunately at the other end of the archipelago. To get down to Kumamoto would take me quite some time-consuming travelling but as I mentioned at the very start of today's post, December is a rather busy month, at least at the beginning before finally some year-end vacation will kick in and things can wind down quite a bit. I am really looking forward to getting the chances to relax and lean back and just to do nothing for a few days. 2020 will be again very challenging stimulating and probably won't give me too many chances to calm down and take it easy. But hey... no reason to complain, life is too nice and too short to waste it. Let's enjoy the moment to the max!!

Damn the plagiarism checker is giving me a hard time again, even though I wrote quite a lot additional content. I guess I now need to delete some part of the official post to not get mad. Well, if that is needed then here we go! So probably I need to just make a separate post about the Scorum Patronage rules and then every week to refer to this post. Otherwise I would just spam my own articles with unrelated text. Too bad it had to come to this point but I don't want to inflate my own article too much.

Enough said, I am ready to receive your nominations! Don't be shy, just bring them on folks!

For questions or comments please hook me up in the comments as well. In addition you can find me in the Scorum Patronage channels which I am hosting on the I am Scorum discord channel.

I am hoping to reading from you soon!

Catch you later...

Love and Respect !
