And the decision is made!

Until yesterday evening I wasn't even sure whether I would be able to write this post or not. Not even one valid nomination came in, until finally @dexpartacus stopped by and lef the only nomination for this round.

Therefor the decision was a pretty easy one, even though I am not really happy with this round's outcome. But after all, one nomination is all we need to keep Scorum Patronage running, and some weeks are just slower than others. Therefor no reason to hold a grudge, it feels more I need to consider changing a few things in the near future. Let's see how we gonna do this.

What is Scorum Patronage?

Like every wekk, I will assist one writer for a whole of seven days and visit his or her blog to read and upvote one post daily. I am planning on using 50 to 100% of my voting power, according to length and quality of each article. However, I reserve myself the right to lower my vote if I feel a post is not making it up to the quality standards we would like to see here at Scorum.

The plan behind Scorum Patronage is to support and upvoye writers to help them to get their posts noticed by the Scorum community. We all have experienced how tough blogging can be, therefor it is essential to stay motivated. That's why I will visit, read and comment all posts of the "choice of the community" for the next seven days. And after that week, I'm also going to write an article where I will introduce that certain writer, what hopefully helps to shed some more light on their work.

Let's get back to the nominations. Every week I keep asking you the following question:

Which user here at Scorum deserves a little attention and should be supported by me for a week?

As I said before, we only had one single nomination from @dexpartacus, so choosing this week's beneficiary was a pretty easy task. For the next seven days I am going to support @agfnzn10

I am glad there is always at least one person each week who is thinking about some other Scorum members who could need a little push and assistance.

@agfnzn10 is another of our Scorum members from Venezuela who has joined Scorum already last summer and is writing about basketball and the NBA.

I will start upvoting him from today and also leave him some comment telling him that he will be assisted by Scorum Patronage this coming week. Hopefully he will be able to find some new readers for his posts and feels encouraged to provide as with some more quality posts.

Some last words...

Once again thanks to @dexpartacus who with his nomination saved this round and will also get a full upvote for suggesting this week's winner. And I also want to mention again, that he has commited himself to following my initinative and also upvote the weekly beneficiary.

I am glad you are with us my friend!

However, after seeing this round's nominations it seems I need to think about changing some of the rules to find a better way to encourage people to join the nomination round. I am always wondering, why not many people seem to be interested to win a full upvote for nominating the weekly winner first. What kind of incentive would lure more people over here?

After powering up a bit more lately, I am having more and more fun curating other Scorum writer's articles, since my upvote now has much more effect compared to the days when I just started here.

For some writers getting a full vote on one of there articles every day could now be quite helpful and sometimes easily move their post right into the hot section. That's why I am still hoping that there will be enough genuine people out there who would like to see other Scorum members succeed as well. Other people's success could be a big milestone to our own victory as well. Let's keep in mind that a strong and supportive community will be beneficial for everyone involved.

That's why I will be back in a couple of days, calling for you to join the next round to help building a Scorum network with lots of strong and creative writers.

Of course I am open to your comments and suggestions. Just drop me a line or visit me in the Scorum Patronage channels which I am running on the "I am Scorum" Discord server. Stop by and and say "Hi" even if you just want to chat.

You can also find the latest announcements and the profiles of all the former beneficiaries. Feel free to join building a place were people share ideas about how to support other community member's grow and how to make the Scorum platform a huge success.

Catch all you guys soon...

Love and Respect !
