So, there's this thing here, is there? I've been spending most of the time I used to use following sports on Steemit these days, so I don't know that I'll be here very much, but we'll see. It's cool that this is here, I've been really reluctant to spend my time on the sites that take and take and take form their users without ever giving anything.

So if you're here, you're probably most likely to know me from Steemit, where I'm @tcpolymath. But I've had a lot of names on a lot of sports sites, too. I'm timprov on Fangraphs and SBNation, and I think I probably was on some older sites as well. Long, long ago, before Baseball Primer went to having actual accounts, I used a lot of names there, and I don't know which ones you might remember, but this one I used a little bit to write baseball-related poetry and face off with the site's more notable poet, The Score Bard.

So I thought I'd resurrect that again. Lord knows I'm unlikely to have time to write about analytics here, with all the things I have going on on Steem. But poems and parodies might just be the right amount of thing. At least, if I happen to be following sports news.

I tend to primarily follow MLB, the NHL, the WNBA, and the Tour de France. This isn't exactly a fertile news moment for any of those, though things should improve in a month or so.

The sports I've participated in in the past and may yet do again are tennis and curling, but I don't tend to follow those closely. If I lived in Canada, maybe, but we don't get a lot of curling coverage here. Oh, you count poker, too, I did that one professionally for a while. Dunno if I'll post about it. Or write poems about it. This whole thing is a big "we'll see."

I feel like I should end this with a sports-on-the-blockchain limerick or something, but nothing rhymes with "blockchain," and the things that rhyme with "Scorum" are probably best left unsaid.

This is the real me. I don't look like Stan Musial at all.
