Akhtar is considered the fastest bowler ever in the history of cricket. He was the first bowler to break the 100mph barrier as well, which he did twice in his career. Akhtar made his Test debut in November 1997 as an opening fast bowler in the side of pakistan and played his first one-day international three months later. Akhtar’s career stats are impressive in both forms of the game, but what’s not so great is how frequently he wasn’t available for Pakistan 178 wickets in 46 Test matches and 247 ODI wickets in 163 matches.
