Wait, what is a witness?
Witnesses are the elected officials of the Scorum blockchain. The Scorum team creates updates and designs new applications for the interface. The witnesses read the code and review it, and see if it will be beneficial to the platform. Then they will vote whether to update the blockchain via consensus. That way you as a user know experts have tinkered with the updates to take in mind, economics, social media and blockchain implications that come with it.
Why should I vote for witnesses?
On a day to day basis the active witnesses make sure there is user retention and outreach to keep the network active and growing. They keep an eye on the blocks and look for any discrepancies that can clog up the platform such as double spending and other tomfoolery.
Why should I vote for Primetimesports as a witness?
You can vote for up to 30 Witnesses but we feel as if we make a very strong case for why you should consider us. We have a team that has operated witness nodes since 2016. We bring years of experience and also have a program to give back to our supporters. For instance we are doing a fantasy baseball contest for over 50 SCR in prizes.
As discussed in my podcast with BP we have many ideas for making bounties and prizes for those in our community that bring friends here or just stay active and continue to be AWESOME stewards of Scorum.
