Just over half-way through the 2nd Helping Hand initiative and we are already seeing some massive engagement on the posts of the users nominated last week which is great to see. I can also see from having been through all the excellent blogs that some of the pro-users who have backed these writers are really getting behind them, curating their posts and pushing them out into the wider Scorum Community for us all to enjoy!

The below is this week's graphic for where things roughly stand thus far. Remember we still have 6 days to go in the contest and with there being prizes for the top 3 this time around it really is all to play for!

battleaxe is ahead by a nose on the present count but it really is very tight between the top 6

If you've yet to find these writers then I'd strongly advise that you check out some of their latest blogs, you really won't be disappointed!

Despite Kevin Durrant's continued form The Warriors were beaten here by a hardworking Spurs team who took advantage of the fact that Golden State were without a couple of key players including Curry and Green. Nbjay is a fairly new user to platform but she posts a lot around NBA as well as Aussie sports history

Of course, I was going to choose an article that highlights the failing of the German football team! Read Mr-Sarriball's entry to the weekly moanday competition and see why the German's have so much to complain about following their spectacular fall from grace over the past year or so.

If you've not checked out bethalea's posts on her family, their sports and general life stories then they are definitely worth a read. Here we learn about her daughter's quest to control her anxiety through riding and being in contact with horses. A really touching post about what must have been a life-changing experience. Also included a secret recipe for Kitty Stew - yummy!

Unfortunately, jpm8341 is having difficulty getting online at the moment and so doesn't have an active post to contribute to. However, don't feel too sorry for him as when I found out where he lives then especially at this time of year in the Northen Hemisphere, I'd gladly trade my wifi for a few weeks of warm sunshine

I can only surmise from the cover picture of this article that the Irish football team have gotten so desperate for goals that they decided to call up Bono. It seems they still haven't found what they're looking for and that is a goal scorer to replace Robbie Keane. 5 straight nil nil results in a row and yet ablaze still makes this article a great read

You don't need to take my word on how good this article is, the Scorum Bounty programme just listed it as the 2nd placed article in their esports writers contest that was announced today. Relive a classic moment from your youth with this piece about Super Mario from kolumbus

This blurry image is the face of dedication! Disappointment at missing out on a major marathon, who cares keep running! Got sick last week, who cares keep running! Freezing cold and rain, who cares keep running! If running is his church I guess it makes the blog his bible? Either way, if you want to see an athlete pushing himself to the limit head over to running-japan-77

With that as the thumbnail picture it doesn't really matter what I write next does it? However, if you can pick your jaw up off the floor for long enough to scroll down the page a little you'll find an in-depth and fascinating piece written by fraste about some of the volleyball played in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics

Bratty, Beautiful and full of Bravado! Not my words but those of battleaxe one of the latest converts over to the Scorum platform and a user who swolesome described as a tour de force. She certainly knows her stuff when it comes to female wrestling so be sure to catch up with the latest news on her blog.

Chelsea face a ban on transfers for the next 2 years. I really want this to be true! Let's hope that the fall out affects them so much that they completely capitulate against my team Spurs this Saturday That'll also give stanleyasokingz plenty to write about next week for his regular entry to pete's moanday competition ;-)

Learn where it all began in this post from oxygen2 who talks about the thrills of watching the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and how that started his love affair with football. That was certainly some Nigerian side and on the evidence of their performance, many commentators believed we would have seen an African World Cup winner by now. We still wait!

There are some dubious and downright scammy things occurring on the platform right now but the above posts all prove that for the most part we still have a community that is capable of creating good content. Let's put these posts and the blogs to follow from these users up in the hot section and replace some of the crap that ends up in there on a daily basis!
