"Fund This Idea!" Week 2 Results: Winner of 200...No, 300 SCR
First, I'm sorry for the delay! This post should've come out late last week. The next entry post will come out on Monday, which I want to establish as the regular day for these posts so you can know when they are coming.Second, thank you for the increase in participation! I had a lot of fun reading the ideas, which are getting better by the week. For those of you who aren't familiar with Fund This Idea!, here's the introduction post. The Rules & Criteria As a recap of what this is all about, Fund This Idea is a weekly contest where I give away SCR to help fund ideas to benefit the Scorum community. I am looking for ideas that...benefit the communitycan be completed with just 200 SCR or lessare creative Would you like to judge or contribute to this idea? If so, drop a comment below or contact me on Telegram or Discord. Entries Here are the entries I received for the second week of the competition. Scorum superuser @Hassan suggests that we should use rewards to encourage engagement. He mentions another user's idea to host a "best comment competition." This competition would reward "hunters" and "commenters." Thank you for coming back for another week of the competition @easyboi. This week, @easyboi suggests giving out a percentage of SCR via a prediction contest. As he mentions, these contests do get a nice level of participation. I'm not sure how this would be unique, but I'm all for adding value to users and the community, so if that can be achieved through contests in a unique way, I'm all for it.I have earned cryptocurrency in many different ways, but one I am unfamiliar with (I get the basics, just haven't earned this way) is faucets. What do you think of @potplucker's idea for an SCR faucet? I would love to learn more about this and possibly explore trying to fund this (if possible with SCR). I like this idea. The Scorum team has hosted these types of competitions in the past, but I am not sure if they are still doing these. I like it because it promotes the betting platform and blogging on Scorum. I am going to think some more on this and would be open to looking into this further. This would be interesting @minimining. Have you posted about Scorum there before? What type of traffic do you get to your site? I love this idea for the Scorum team, suggested by @bwar (who I am a big fan of). This helps gamify our experience here on Scorum. I would love to have a badge declaring that I'm the king of the Detroit Lions and a few other teams here on Scorum. Gamification works, we should utilize it more here. The Winner(s) Whether you won or didn't win this week, I encourage you to participate in future weeks. There will be times like last week when I reward more than a single user for their idea. This week, I really connected with an idea and wanted to fund it as much as I could. Since I'm late in responding and due to support of this project so far, I'm giving 300 SCR to help fund @Hassan's idea. Let's see if we can increase engagement while rewarding those who are providing good, valuable comments while also giving rewards to those who are finding these great comments. What do you think of this idea? Please comment below!Hassan, the 300 SCR are on the way. Thanks for leading this initiative and for all you do for the Scorum community.
