The BeemerBoy Chronicles Part 1
I’ve decided to make my own little situation here. Not related to sports. If it’s against the rules let me know. I’ll still be posting sports of course. Anyway, if possible, I’ll be posting these once or twice a week always expanding the mystique and pure awesome gloominess of BeemerBoy battling the many evils of the world. If you like fiction and things of that sort be sure to check this out and toss me a follow! Now it’s time, however, to enter part 1 of: THE BEEMERBOY CHRONICLES It’s quite dark and quite rainy in the big city known only as The Design. It’s quite darker and quite rainier on this day in particular. Quite rainier and quite darker than on the average rainy and dark day in this city. Many have diverged into only wearing raincoats. The pretty females, or the ones that believe that are indeed pretty, have gone with the full see-through and transparent raincoats. A “revolutionary design and idea” from the mind of designer and idea-maker Lars von Dupplerecht. The “revolutionary” Swedish-born German-American man, who few ever saw and even fewer ever heard from. He was hailed as the mind of a generation. A true revolutionary. BeemerBoy, however, does not like all this hype. He does not like it one little bit. He is a man of clean looks. He rather wears his black overcoat that shines when it rains. Like a diamond in the rough. Like the only light in a room full of darkness. He looks up at the sky, raindrops springing left and right off his dark visor. Tinted, just to make sure nobody ever knows where he’s looking, that nobody ever knows what his next move is. Cameras everywhere. Watching everything at all times. They see the prostitutes on 1st and 2nd. They see the drunk tourists singing their chorals wearing their funny little outfits that scream: “I’m not from here!” They see the corporate people making their corporate decisions and all the others trying to make their way in the corporate world. They see the kids crossing the street when the light shines red instead of green. They see the mothers drinking hard liquor and breast-feeding their children minutes later. They see the men who fathered these children injecting Retho straight into their veins. They see the vain stylists and the vain people they style abusing their power over the general public. They see the many lives lost to mind-numbing reality shows that are hailed as entertainment. They see the “prime-time entertainers”. They see one another, they are constantly communicating what they see. What. Where. When. They know, BeemerBoy thinks. They see our every move, just waiting for us to misstep, mishandle a given situation. They have taken over, they have won. We have lost. We are not smart. We are not special. We are not here for a reason. A discomforting thought BeemerBoy reassures himself; True for many, not for all. BeemerBoy must reassure himself at least several times a day. It is a troubling time. Perhaps the most troubling in the history of the world. Both World Wars have ended over a 100 years ago BeemerBoy thinks to himself. Yet here we are. Struggling like never before. Trapped in our minds which are trapped in this city which is trapped in this world. BeemerBoy only thinks to himself what life off-world would be like… Mankind has not reached those heights yet. Mankind has in fact progressed very little, if at all, since the early 2020s. “Protests shock The Design again! 7 shot dead, 33 wounded,” The talking, always lit street ceiling hailed as “The EYE” yells out into the crowd on Rich Street right next to BeemerBoy. More protests huh? Have these people not learned that the protests never lead to anything besides an “unexpected three day power outage”, several deaths and more wounded? Suddenly Kira Akura appears on The EYE. The three-time Star of the World award winner goes on to speak: “Oh me, oh my… Even more lives lost in The Design? I am so sorry and so disappointed with this world we have to live in. A true tragedy” she continues, “My prayers with everyone out there. I hope that…” BeemerBoy, however, does not have time for this. He hops on the all-electric speedway and leaves. BeemerBoy is on a mission. TO BE CONTINUED…
