The best swimmer of all time just had an old record of his shattered by a 10-year-old kid named Clark Kent.

No, you say. It can't be true! Well, it is, according to this article:

Clark Kent Apuada, appropriately named Superman, won the 100-meter butterfly at the Far West International Championship in California on Sunday with the time of 1:09:30 — more than a full second faster than the record Phelps set at the same championship in 1995.

The young athlete has been swimming competitively for only four years, and that makes it even more impressive. I don't know if you realize, but one full second in swimming is really a big deal.

Not only did he beat Phelps' record, he won the race a full 5 seconds ahead of the competition. This is the future of Olympic games being drawn right before our eyes. Oh and he also plays music and practice martial arts, so watch your mouth!

He sends a very positive message to all the other kids by telling them to always have fun and never give up on their dreams, no matter what anybody says.

While this may sound cliché, I have to say it did work out pretty well for him so far. Sure the boy has raw talent, but its talent is not everything.

There is so much unused potential in the world, if he can be an example to all the others, that'd be great.

We've all been in situations where we wondered if we should give up or abandon. And I'm pretty sure most of the time, with just a little bit more effort we would have made it.

Well, this is exactly what I think happens when you do. As long as you have the drive, and you love what you are doing, keep on trying. We have so much to learn                                                                                      from this boy and so many others.

What do you guys think of the athletes of tomorrow?
