Indonesian mixed doubles from tennis, Christoper Rungkat / Aldila Sutiadji, won the gold medal in the 2018 Asian Games after defeating the Thai pair, Sonchat Ratiwatana / Aleksandr Nedovyesov.

In the final which took place at the Jakabaring Sport City tennis venue, Palembang, Saturday (08/25/2018), the Indonesian pair won with a score of 2-1 (6-4), (5-7) and (10-7).

Before going up to the podium to become number one, the road is steep first by Cristoper / Aldila. In the last 32 round (8/19), the Indonesian pair managed to frustrate the Pakistani resistance of Murtaza M / Khan SM. Without a lot of obstacles that means they won with a score of 2-0 (6-3) and (6-2).

Intermittent two days later, Cristoper / Aldila who qualified for the round of 16 met with opponents from Thailand Lertpitaksincai N / Ratiwatana S. And in the match held on (21/8) then they went on smoothly with a score of 2-0 (7-5) and (6-1).

In the quarter-finals, Cristoper / Aldila has been awaited by Bopana RM / Raina AR. In this game, it took 1 hour and 10 minutes to defeat the Indian couple with a score of 2-1 (6-4), (1-6) and (10-6).

And, in the semifinal round, precisely Friday (24/8), Cristoper / Aldila finally frustrated the Japanese pair's resistance, Hayesugi E / Uesugi K, with a score of 2-0 (7-3) and (6-4).

With the addition of a gold medal from tennis, Indonesia has now collected 10 gold, 12 silver and 16 bronze.
