Borna Ćorić is a young Croatian tennis player. Only 21 years old but already a name in the world of tennis. I've been following his career for quite a bit of time now and was really happy to see him beat Danilo Medvedev in the 3rd round of US open. (6:3 7:5 6:2) He has never reached the 4th round in a Grand Slam tournament before. So, this is the peak of his career and I hope that the only way is up from now on!

During the first set, I couldn't believe the amount of the mistakes both players had done. They were both under a bit of stress and it was visible. Medvedev's serve didn't serve him well and Borna was eager to punish him for it. This is how it usually goes, in many sports.

The highlights of the second set were the moments when Ćorić misses the set-ball at the score of 5:4 and then consequently takes away another serve from Medvedev what ends up with a properly played set-ball. Even with a score of 2:0, I still wasn't convinced he was in for a win.

The third set went quite smooth and the victory was secured. This is the third Borna's victory over Medvedev out of four times they've played against each other.

In the next round, Borna Ćorić faces Argentinian Del Porto, the third best world's player and the winner of US Open from 2009.

Del Porto beat Fernando Verdasco in the third round. It will surely be an interesting match and even though an underdog, I'm sure Borna will give all he has. He might even win!
