Dutch tennis player Kiki Bertens is located on the brink of qualifying for the semifinals of the tournament in Singapore, as she is now Japan's Naomi Osaka retired the third round of the Red group due to injury.

Twenty-one-year US Open champion Osaka took to the court with tape on the back of her leg for a problem that flared up in her defeat to Angelique Kerber on Wednesday and was competitive for half a set before opting to withdraw after Bertens took the opener 6-3.

Dutchwoman is also a chance to win another tournament in Singapore, while the Osaka before this match remained no chance to qualify for the semifinals.
