Fabio Fognini - 100/1 to Win Outright

He's had a great clay court season so far which included winning the Monte Carlo ATP Masters where he defeated Nadal in the Semi Final playing some sublime tennis.

He's 9 wins and 2 losses since starting his clay court season in France and those losses incurred were by no means bad performances. A flat hitter with clinical finishing, on the day he's capable of beating any player from the back. He will likely go deep into the tournament and at 100/1 to win is a fun outsider to take.

One of his big weapons on clay is his drop shot which is one of the best in the business and capable of catching any player out due to it's disguise. He has a high percentage success with it.

Roger Federer - 28/1 to Win Outright

It would be pretty lame to write an article to feature Rafa Nadal as a player to watch at the French, it's just too obvious and that would be a lack of complete insight on my behalf. But how about the king of grass who hasn't played at the French Open for the past 4 years?

He may seem like an obvious choice to cover, but actually I have only given him space on this list due to his attractive odds. He is 28/1 to win Roland Garros which considering some of his wins already on clay this season are not bad at all. He looked very comfortable yesterday vs Sonegro who he dispatched of easily in straight sets.

He may be a bit too much of a flat hitter for clay overall but his undeniable ability to close points off at the net means he's always in for a shout to go deep into the tournament where anything can happen.

Stefanos Tsitsipas - 18/1 to Win Outright

This guy grows with every tournament he plays. He looked absolutely clinical yesterday vs Marterer where he hit through the court so aggressively wiping the German out in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.

If he can hone his net game even more so than now he is a real danger to anyone at the French.

This year he has already made two finals on clay winning one of them and making the semi final in Rome too. In the Madrid final he put on a solid display vs Djokovic. For every final he attends and for every match he plays vs one of the big three he looks more confident and stronger. As he learns to adapt his game to defeat Federer, Nadal and Djokovic he will become much more of a threat to the old guard. He has already defeated all three of the top three in different tournaments and he's only 20 years old!
