Two big British tennis players, one well established and one a rising star fight it out tomorrow on grass at Eastbourne. You couldn't have asked for a better match on Murray's third game after returning from injury as he takes on fellow Brit and big hitter Kyle Edmund in what promises to be a clash of styles and one very intriguing match.

Murray impressed hugely with his romping win over Stan Wawrinka 6-1, 6-3 yesterday, read my match report here showing many signs of the sort of dogged defense and fine touch play that has won him 2 Wimbledon titles and a US Open. Wawrinka hits big shots so to be able to absorb his power and turn it against him point after point is no easy feat to accomplish. Murray did exactly that to the delight of the Eastbourne crowd.

Edmund is enjoying the best year of his life on court as covered in one of the my first articles on Scorum here having reached his first ATP final in Morocco (which he should have won!). This year he has claimed the scalps of some top ten ranked players and every tournament he plays in he looks stronger and more composed. He also comes with a contrasting style to Murray, his forehand is a more potent weapon as he hits it much flatter and harder, this has it's ups and downs. Edmund has the choice to beat Murray if he hits his forehand at it's top level but Murray is one if not the best defender in the game and will put Edmund's forehand fully to the test.

Edmund who beat both Djokovic and Goffin on clay earlier this year at Madrid has gained a great deal more experience since Murray and him last slugged it out in 2016 in Beijing. So this match will be far more interesting and competitive than that one. Still after watching Murray take down big stan with ease yesterday I can't help but feel Murray will neutralise Edmund in a similar fashion.

It's going to be a great Battle of Britain tomorrow which will give tennis fans more of an read into both player's chances at Wimbledon in July but i'm going to side with Murray on this occasion to win in 2 straight sets against Edmund.
