Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic lost his match of the 3rd round of the Rogers Cup against Stefanos Tsitsipas (world number 27) in three sets 3:6, 7:6 (5) 3:6.

Djokovic struggles in first two round but manages to win against Basic and Polansky. However, 3rd round opponent Tsitsipas was too big obstacle for him.

Tsitsipas, young player from Greece, played fantastic match on the centre stadium in Toronto. His serve is powerful weapon, what he prove today. Also, his forehand is really strong. And he showed that excatly from first point of the match against Djokovic. He managed to broke Djokovic's serve in the seventh game of the first set, then he served for the lead in sets with huge confidence.

Key game of the match almost was Djokovic's service game at 4-4 in the second set. Tsitsipas had two break-points but Djokovic escaped from that situation. In the tie-break of the second set Serbian players showed confidence and won set with 7:5 in points.

Almost everybody then expected that Djokovic will get win in last set, but Tsitsipas was having different plan. With break in the second game of the deciding set he get crucial advantage. And Djokovic didn't have chances on his serves. 6:3 in the third. Tsitsipas didn't lost any of his service games in the whole match. Against one of the best players in the world, especially on the return.

In the next round Tsitsipas is going to play against Zverev or Medvedev.
