Veteran tennis player Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic has entered the pre-quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup tournament. World number-8 Kvitova defeated Estonia's Annet Contatate in the second round of the women's singles. Kvitova defeated World Number-30 Annet in an hour and 28 minutes in straight sets, by 6-3, 6-4, and entered the final-16 round.
