Japan's Naomi Osaka defeated Camilla Giordi of Italy 6-2, 6-3 to enter the finals of the Tokyo Open where she will compete with Carolina Pliskova of Czech Republic. Osaka, who won the US Open this month, won the tenth consecutive time and took the lead in 71 minutes.

The world's number one player, Pliskova, defeated Croatia's Donna Wachich 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in a two-hour match. The seventh player in the world, Osaka had a bump in Italy in the semifinals, who had pulled out top-seeded and defending champion Carolyn Wozniacki.

In the first set Osaka achieved the breaking point twice. Twenty-year Japanese player defeated 23 Grand Slam winner Serena Williams in the US Open final and became the first player to win the Grand Slam title. In the second set, Osaka took a break point in the fifth game, and with a strong winners, easily got his name in the match.
