The Serbian Novak Djokovic won easily against the American Mitchell Krueger and got into the second round of the Australian Open, where he will be against Tsonga.

Novak Djokovic comfortably beat American Mitchell Krueger, 230th in the world rankings, 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2 in his first Australian Open game and entered the second round of the tournament. The Serbian will seek the record in this tournament, as he will try to be the only tennis player to get seven titles of the first Grand Slam of the ATP circuit.

The current number 1 in the world won the American, who seemed to be a firm opponent after achieving the first break of the game, in just two hours and three minutes of play, at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.

After his victory, Nole, who arrived in Melbourne after falling in the semifinals of Doha against Spanish Roberto Bautista, took the first step on his way to what could be his fifteenth Grand Slam title.

Now the next challenge will be against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, whom the Serbian defeated in the final of this tournament in 2008, to win the first of his fourteen Grand Slam titles. The Frenchman comes from beating the Slovak Martin Klizan in the first round of the contest.
