Spaniard Rafael Nadal is in the semi-finals of the Paris Tennis Masters Championship with a thousand points, after defeating his compatriot Pablo Carreño on Friday evening, with the results of groups 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 in a grueling match that lasted two hours and 14 minutes.

The loss ended Carinho's hopes of qualifying for the finals of the London championship, and the last pass went to Argentine Diego Schwarzman, who had fallen against Russian Daniel Medvedev hours earlier.

Nadal is waiting to know the identity of his semi-final opponent, who will be the winner against German Alexander Zverev and Swiss Stan Wawrinka.
