Novak Djokovic is certain to continue the match to the semifinals, after successfully overthrowing John Millman in the quarterfinals of the US Open 2018.

Novak Djokovic avoided the bad luck experienced by Roger Federer in the face of the world 55th ranked Australian from John Millman who never gave up to reach the semifinals. But good fortune did not side with Milman, Djokovic managed to drag Millman with the final score 6-3 6-4 6-4, in the quarter-finals on Thursday (6/9/2018).

Djokovic, who will next face Kei Nishikori in the semifinal match on Friday (7/9). The tennis player nicknamed The Djoker will face Kei Nishikori who went ahead after defeating Marin Cilic. If he defeats Nishikori and wins the final, Djokovic will win the 14th Grand Slam title to equal Pete Sampras' record.

When Djokovic broke his serve early in the third set, it seemed like the end of the match was near, but again he could not make Millman go and, eliminated due to a successive time violation, the second caused him to lose his first serve, he broke again. But Djokovic broke himself for 5-4 and this time made no mistake, moved to the semi-finals for the 11th time he competed here.
