The 28-year-old player, Ivan Perisic tried sports other than football by going down to the international beach volleyball tournament in the summer, he was noted to have represented his country in a beach volleyball event professionally.
This happened in the Porec Major Tournament in the 2017 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour series. This is an elite beach volleyball tournament for professionals organized by the FIVB, the International Beach Volleyball Federation.
Perisic, who duet with Niksa Dell'Orco, took part in the Porec Major event held in Croatia, but both must recognize the advantages of the Brazilian pair named Alvaro De Morais and Saymon Barbosa Santos in straight sets 21-10 and 21-10.
"This has always been my dream, I have been playing beach volleyball since I was 10 years old," Perisic said at the time as reported by BolaSport.com from ESPN.
"I always practice with my friends every summer. I want to thank everyone who gave me this opportunity, it feels great even though I lost,"

After losing to the Brazilian pair, Perisic also swallowed the defeat of the American duet in the second match, but he felt happy to be able to enliven the tournament. Indeed, in the Perisic tournament must experience three defeats from the three matches that he lived.
He lost 0-2 consecutively (10-21, 10-21) from Alvaro Filho / Saymon (Brazil), 0-2 (11-21, 16-21) from Brunner / Patterson (AS), and 0-2 (8-21, 14-21) from Crabb Ta./Gibb (AS).
