The blues are the full booty, also winning against Slovenia for 3-1

The Italian national volleyball team, back from four consecutive wins, does not disappoint the expectations and also wins the last battle against Slovenia, with a score of 3-1

Five victories out of five games played, a journey so far impeccable.

It was expected the victory to arrive in Milan with a full score and so was, in the face of an adversary of value, Slovenia vice-champion of Europe in 2015, with partials 23-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-18.

Simone Anzani and the usual Zaytsev among the best in the field

In the first set the Azzurri lost their second set of the entire tournament, and as had already happened against Argentina the first partial is the most indigestible for Italy, with many fouls and a very bad reception that allowed Slovenia to take home the first set.

Then Zaytsev and his teammates started to grind their game and swept away their opponents, winning with a score of 3-1.

The good performances of Simone Anzani, Zaytsev and also of Gabriele Maruotti, the Siena schiacciatore who took the place of Pippo Lanza from the second set, should be highlighted.

This concludes the first phase with the feeling that the Blengini team can play for an important final result. Italy thus arrives at the second stage, with full points, 15 which will be valuable for the continuation of the tournament.

The group will see the Azzurri face the Netherlands, Russia and Finland.

To qualify for the third phase of Turin you must first arrive in your group, with the repechage of the two best second.

The chances are remarkable for the Blengini team, which starts with 15 points, then we have the Netherlands that has 11, Russia with 9 and to end the rear, Finland with only 5.

Dreaming is lawful and you can reasonably play on par with the next opponents and overcome this second stage and land in Turin.
