Philippine Women's volleyball team has been struggling for a win against other national teams. Philippines qualify the last slot in qualifying round in Pool A where they only defeated Hong Kong team and after that when the Philippine team moves to the quarterfinals they face China where they were defeated in 3 sets where the team drops to the classification rounds.
During the classification rounds, a good competitive match against Kazakhstan but the still Philippines are outplayed with a 2-3 standing. Santiago Daphne scores a lot for the Philippine team but still Kazakhstan but a good defense against some spikes from the Philippines where at the end Kazakhstan wins.
On their final chance to get a least a much higher rank, they face Indonesian team and sadly Indonesia have shown their true power where the Philippines cannot handle and so the Philippines once again lost their chance in winning. The Philippines finishes at 8th ranking while Indonesia got the 7th place.
South Korea got Bronze Medal
South Korea has been doing very well against Japan on their bronze medal match. South Korea manage to win 3 sets while Japan only got 1 set. Kim Yeonkoung has shown great performance throughout the game and leads the team to win the bronze medal. Japan, on the other hand, finishes 4th and no medal counted for their team but still, Japan has shown competitiveness in their games against South Korea.
Gold medal match for China and Thailand
Both China and Thailand have really been undefeated in group matches in preliminary rounds. Their fight for the gold medal will be full of surprises and it is very hard to predict who will win since both of them have strong determination to succeed in getting the gold medal for their country. I will be doing some live streaming on their match today so I won't be left behind to know who manages to grab the gold medal.
